    Name: MANOS 2.0

Description: It looks like a standard prosthetic arm, except the palm has shock paddles in it, and the back of the hand has a hardlight projector attached to it. Due to this, if the arm has synthetic skin on it, the hand will still need to be baremetal. It can be painted, however. The pointer finger can open up to reveal a syringe of an anaesthetic agent.

Abilities: Able to act independantly of the wearer in a medical emergency, using the on-board medical AI.

By using Hardlight to project medical implements, they are guaranteed to be sterile.

Programmed to project Scalpals, Medical Tweezers, Needles, and other medical implements.

Using a spool of a thread composite stored inside the hand, with a port on the back of the hand, the hardlight needle can stitch wounds shut.

The AED built into the palm can be used in the case of cardiac arrest to restart the heart

If the arm detects that the wearer has gone into cardiac arrest, it will attempt to automatically defibrillate (Can be overrode easily, in the case of the rare false positive)

Can apply anaesthetic to injury sites.

Conditional Abilities (Optional): Hardlight Scalpal makes an okay holdout weapon, I guess.

    Limitations:

All the limitations of a typical hardlight projector.

If you EMP it it stops working, needs to be repaired before medical functions will work again.

Due to the fact that it's an arm instead of a full autodoc bed, it will perform surgeries slower than an autodoc would.

Mostly for Triage, cannot perform more complex surgeries in automatic mode. However, if it's being used manually, it *can* be used for advanced surgeries if the wearer is proficient in them.

If automatic mode is being used to perform medical actions on oneself, the wearer will need to lay still.

Anaesthetic storage vial is rather small, will need to be refilled often.

Localized anaesthetic lasts 4-6 hours, not a good thing to happen in a non-hospital setting

    Conditional Limitations (Optional):
Spool of composite used for stitches needs to be refilled. occasionally.

How does it work: Using an improved version of the modified autodoc AI within a standard MANOS, the MANOS 2.0 makes use of the hardlight projector in the back of the hand

Flavor text: After building, programming, and testing the MANOS, Mir felt... unfulfilled. He felt like he hadn't done all he can, like he could do *more* to make it even better. After trying for awhile to fit more tools in the arm, he eventually came to the realization that he should try doing more, with less. Rather than cram in tools, he should try to use some space saving technology. First he tried to use Energy to Matter, but after trials he came to the conclusion that Hardlight would be better for his purposes.

Referenced Technologies (Optional): MANOS, Hardlight Projection.

    Attainability: Open

So the arm can't dispense any sort of anesthetic? Unless the user is unconscious, they might not exactly be completely still when they're getting cut into.

That's a... valid point, actually. I had *not* considered that because I'm a stupidhead, so let me just uh... Add... that... in...

How long does the anesthetic last? Is it a local anesthetic?

Yeah, it's a localized anaesthetic. And from the google search I did, those normally last 4-6 hours, so probably in that range. I'll add that in as a downside, because being numbed for 4-6 hours when you're not in a hospital is *not a good thing*
