I think the forums could use a list of staff members and their duties, so new and old players know who to contact directly if they have a question about lore or rules.
We used to have one of those as a forum post, but it got deleted by Drakkar for some reason? We also have this... but it's hard to find A good suggestion either way.
I still want to get this done. I could create a topic with proper formatting and all, I just need information.
It's easier to just use the members list and hit the "staff members" tab. Otherwise we need to make a thread and keep it up to date manually. We don't have to do that with what we have right now.
Members list doesn't elaborate on the roles in any way. This is the whole point of this suggestion. To have a place where (potentially new) players can see who to contact about specific aspects. I know that situation in the staff team is (as one of the staff members put it) 'disorganized shit mess' and things are not getting done. This is why I'm offering help. I want to get this done.
Giving us more things to keep updated will not help us in any way, at best be annoying to keep updated, and at worst be a setback or not kept updated because it's redundant. People can click on our profiles and see our roles. Past just clicking our profiles and seeing that tags we have assigned, and our colors, it's pretty easy to discern which roles are which based on the color of our names. And we are getting things done. I spent this morning typing and organizing revisions for things that have needed changed that will be put up soon. There are more important things to do than a staff team roster when we have a list of staff available here. New players have had no trouble finding me here on the forums and immediately messaging me or posting on my profile that they have finished the quiz.
Adding to this, it's not hard to work out what the staff do. If you click on their names then it tells you their role and from that you can garner their duties. Admins do administrative work. Technicians handle the technical side of things. Monitors keep the community in check. Moderators look stuff over. That's the basic job stuff.
