    Name: Striker Hands/Fists

    Description:
Striker fists are a set of implants set into the hands and arms of an organic individual. They're replacements for the bones, ligaments, and tendons in the hands, with a sheath of synthetic skin that covers all the way up to the wrist.

The bones are comprised of rubium covered in a thin layer of plasteel(Which allows for biocompatibility), with the sole exception of the knuckles, in which the bone replacement ends in a impervium cap to add additional weight and sturdiness. In some designs, there is no synthetic skin covering the impervium caps, exposing them directly. The ligaments/tendons in the hand are replaced with carbon fibers, which serve the same purpose while being more resistant to blunt trauma.

Some varieties of these prosthetics contain electronics, though these usually only take place as a diagnostic tool and artificial touch reception.

    Abilities:
    • Striker Hands are highly resistant to blunt trauma and cutting from simple weaponry, and true to their name hit pretty damn hard, like built-in brass knuckles.
    • Unlike weapons like Gravity Gauntlets, these do not sacrifice any dexterity. Obviously they don't hit as hard as those, though.
    Conditional Abilities (Optional):
    • As they do not depend on electronics to function, they are impervious to the effects of EMPs (With the exception of touch-reception/diagnostics).
    Limitations:
    • Relies on the strength of the user to apply force, as it doesn't offer any artificial muscle to speak of.
    Conditional Limitations (Optional):
    • Enough excessive force can break the rubium bones, and energy weaponry can outright destroy the hands with not much more difficulty than organic hands.
    • Totally illegal in the CLB. Probably.
    How does it work:
To put it simply, it's just a bunch of metal in someone's hands that makes their punches hurt more, and make those same hands more resistant to breaking/harm.

    Flavor text:
Illegal in a lot of civspace places, these implants are pretty popular among the brawling variety, and many thugs out there may have these built in to add as a painful surprise for their victims. Otherwise, it tends to be a popular choice solely for those who want to dabble into cybernetic enhancements without nose-diving into true limb replacements.

    Referenced Technologies (Optional): Plasteel

    Attainability: Open
