His younger sister, Clementine, always got special treatment and attention. His older brother, Methan, rarely got along well with Wester, always seeming to be competing with Wester for the attention of their father. Other than name, Wester shared little in common with his father. He greatly preferred to try and tinker with machines to varying degrees of success much to the dismay of his father like when Wester in effort to figure out how a generator worked inadvertently caused a power surge in the saloon his father was drinking at. After a particularly harsh lecture and punishment Wester had decided he had enough of his family and fled home, stowing away on the first ship he saw: one that was crewed by some strange fur and flesh colored folk calling themself "Apex". Hidden away in the storage bay of the ship Wester found no shortage of strange technology to start pulling apart and figuring out. During the ship's journey Wester once again attracted attention when he accidently set off a laser rifle while opening it up. Instead of being chucked out the airlock the Captain of the ship took pity on the young nova and took him in as one of his own. Wester soon learned about the "joys" of living under this "Ministry of Knowledge". The only things keeping him from running again was: a near limitless collection of things to dismantle and learn about, a pretty in depth education provided to him for free, and that ship captain's son, Victor, who's shared interest in technology led to a forged brotherhood between the two. After years under Miniknog rule Wester grew complacent and happy until the unthinkable happened, a rebel cell raided the base Wester had come to call home. During the ensuing chaos Wester managed to escape with Victor by the skin of their teeth in a stolen ship. He plotted a course deeper into the fringe in effort to avoid the ensuing war that would surely be brought to the planet soon. Having "deserted" the Ministry, the duo was now on their own in a strange new galaxy. Really short version: Born in a typical novakid settlement, ran away from home, brought into the Ministry of Science, and fled to the Fringe after Miniknog base was raided. She’s the light of my life. Now that we have a home to ourselves and the kids it feels like our life as a family has truly begun. Plutonium "Pluto": (Son) My eldest son. He's an energic bundle of joy who has taken an interest in animals. I know he's young but perhaps I have a future zoologist on my hands! Easton: (Son) Though you may have been born in a tragic part of my life, you were the only good time come from it. I wouldn't trade you for the Fringe. Maia: (Daughter) I love all my children equally but I would be lying if I didn't admit there was something special about you when we finally settled down and brought you home. I know one day you'll be right alongside your brothers changing the Fringe for the better. Avaline: (Adopted daughter) Ava came to Atlas in a pretty bad state... Filled with viruses and that god awful Diana clone tech that's a brand-ache to navigate around. I did my best to fix her and give the support she was lacking. She's flourished in Atlas and has moved well beyond just being my assistant to do bigger and better things. I hope Maia looks to you as an inspiration when she grows up. Clementine: (Younger sister) Clem acts as if I’ve never left. I still harbor guilt for running away from home but she’s helped me come to terms with it. As standards go for little sisters, Clem is the best there is. Victor: (Adopted brother) He may not be a Lund by plasma but that doesn’t change my view on him at all. Fearless and inventive, I know you'll end up doing great things when you're older, I couldn't be prouder to call you brother. Wyoming: (Like a brother) The first fella that bothered to have a conversation with me here in the Fringe. He’s become an accomplished fighter and gunsmith in the time I’ve known him. Always has my back and I’ll always have his. He’s family. Methan: (Brother) We may rarely see brand to brand but you're still my brother. Xexanoth: (Visionary and mentor) You've been there to guide me through every misstep I've made in life since I've established myself in Atlas, never doing me wrong. I only hope that I can make you proud. It is an honor to serve beside you now as a fellow Viceroy. Lorch: (Free soul) A genuine voice of reason and compassion who came to me in a time of need. You're a friend for life. Corchea: (Star-sister) She's quirky, breaks my personal space bubble almost every time I see her, sometimes makes me uncomfortable, but for whatever reason, I don't seem to care much. She's a really outstanding friend and has been one of the few people to bother consistently hanging out with me. She also doesn't judge me whatsoever about my position in Atlas. Markus: (The High Atlas) He has done a wonderful job keeping Atlas on track. There were times where I maybe viewed his actions as too harsh or uncaring but now I realize it was all for the best. We share a vision for the future and I'd follow the man to hell and back. Vittoria: (Friend and predecessor) I greatly value our friendship but you seem hell bent on going out in some sort of blaze of glory... There is value in living the quiet life, Vittoria. Clint: (Dependable leader) He's no doubt earned his place as Praetor and my respect but there are times I call his judgment into question. Regardless of that, I don't think I'd want to see anyone other than him with the job. Dave: (An acquired taste) I may be one sided in considering you a friend but it would be deserved after the history you and I have had. I'd like to think I've done a lot of growing since then and I can recognize you now for the good person you are under all that.... Personality. Diana 26: (The best one) We had a sort of misunderstanding at first but I've come to realize you are one of the good ones. I look forward to seeing how you do here in Atlas. Vermillion: (Bon voyage) It seems I finally got my wish... The position of viceroy is mine and you can focus on your research inside your own private facility now. All is as it should've been now. Diana 23: (Subverted expectations) You're one of the real outspoken haters of Atlas yet you seem to have no problem with me. It's strange but I reckon it's better to have another friend than enemy. Naru: (Distant) It's been awhile since I've heard from you. Yaretzi: (Misguided) Never had a bad experience around Yaretzi but Vittoria can't say the same... I won't sit here and blame you for it but if you were a better person things would've turned out better. Llyod: (Ex-High Atlas) It's not popular to like you... You've done much to help me in my time here in Atlas and I used to look up to you. I'm not sure how true the horrible things said about you are and I'm not sure I want to know. Kilariya: (Brainless and blind) For all the evils you accuse Atlas of, I see much more of it committed by those who call Renaize a home.
