So, i sparked an idea. I found a way that'll help with people who have kids or whatever, if they hate waiting for them to grow the fuck up lol. Starting off: Every two months, you can do subtle speed growth throughout the time. ie: eli was born on January 1st of 3030. first 2 irl months: Speed grow to a year or half a year. He is now a year old and through those two irl months of teaching, he is capable of baby physics. so by the time its a IRL year, he'll be 6 years old if you do 1 year per 2 irl months just an idea or whatever
I had considered that, but wasn’t sure if that qualifies as time-skipping, which isn’t allowed iirc (staff please correct me if I’m wrong). If I used this, that would retroactively make Magnolia 2 1/2 years old. It’s a confusing gray area, but it’s a good idea.
Or you could just incubate the child in the same equipment you use for cloning people to accelerate the body growth. In both methods, there's one issue. Mind.
Incubating would be an IC action, and would affect their mind. I think what exe is mentioning is OOC-related.
but isnt the entire concept of time fucky in space like with the relativity shit timeskips in a scifi setting are completely fine to a degree imo unless everyone is nailed down on the same planet
If not for FTL travel, regular space travel would be pretty time consuming so time skips wouldn't be too unusual if you spent enough time off planet. Even then crossing the whole galaxy isn't exactly instantaneous.
