Your thoughts, hand them over. Think at me, think at me really hard, tell me what you think. For real, I would like to actually know.
As always, I'd rather private discussions before public ones, but here's a neat list. -Good hat. -Not an asshole. -Optimistic. -Might be worth slowing down every once and a while, and appreciating things without having to link them back to your character or yourself. You have a tendency to hype up your own business to a decent degree and share it with those around you. I suppose what I'm trying to say is uh, "You spend more time waiting for your turn to speak then you do listening." No offense, of course. -E -Do you wanna check the first letter of every line for me?
Yeah, I guess I do kind of have that tendency. I guess I just get excited about it all, don't really mean any harm with it. I guess trying to slow down a bit could be a good idea. Also wow, I'm not even good enough for an image, I see how it is...
He ran out of them. Mir has noticeable flaws, not in a negative way. A lot of characters can seem too perfect sometimes, and aren’t very grounded. Mir is very much grounded, his cowardice arguably being one of the best parts of his character. It also helps that his player is generally pretty cool and chill.
Mir is a really good character. however, I can't help feeling like he's a bit of a self insert. not in the 'i'm gonna fulfill all my fantasies in RP' way, though, he's of a more unusual variety: there's just not a lot of differences between him and you, personality wise. the pros to this is that he's very developed and well rounded, but the cons is that you live on 21st century Earth... and ingame Mir is constantly mutilated and traumatized in the far future by lovecraftian horrors. this never seems to significantly affect his personality, because your personality hasn't changed and the two are linked. I'd advise practicing character development by making a character that is almost entirely unlike you!
I keep getting told to try playing a new character, And I feel like that would be a good idea. I just don't really trust myself enough to try a character whose way out of left field for me... That, and I keep telling myself that if I played another character, I might mix up who has met which character and who hasn't, but I'm starting to think that's just me making excuses. I'm just so attached to the character of Mir that I'm worried if I made another character I would neglect them, but that's not really a good excuse to not try. Once I come up with an idea for Mir's Second Character, I think I actually will. Might also help me with the thing that Zecon brought up too.

if it's any reassurance, keeping track of multiple characters is actually pretty easy. I'm no Zecon and Dave obviously gets most of my attention but I generally don't have trouble remembering who knows who. if you want to be super careful, making a doc keeping track of relationships couldn't hurt.
make a new character getting away from lane for about a year was a real blessing and opened a lot of doors. had i not killed lane, frosthand wouldn't be a part of the setting. once you get into the groove of making that second character, you'll feel more comfortable making newer characters. how i got around to figuring out how to play multiple different characters was taking them out for test runs and getting an idea of their personality. other than that, it's pretty enjoyable being around mir--although i haven't had much positive interaction with him because all of my characters are kinda asshats lol. if you ever need a tip, hit me up
