Ok, so hear me out real quick: My idea was to develop a post-apocalyptic planet, dense with several features of radiated creatures, bandits, actual factions that have yet to develop space tech and have been dealing with a full on wasteland war zone on this planet. Anyone played STALKER series or the Metro Series? Yeah, well, i've got something in mind for that... So, mixing in with GC lore and such, along with some of the creatures I plan on adding in later on; this'll be an experience where people can put some pizzas or pizaz, however you spell it, into their character. For those characters who seek adventure, or simply have characters who have that sense of nomadic state, possibly will find themselves at home here. items, artifacts, etc will be a key component to what your character gets with a nice little story along the lines. there is a currency, and its called money or barter system. basically this is a wannabe undercrypt but it's straight outta a cheerios cereal box and you "accidentially" stole the happy meal toy away from your brother so you could get maximum fun. fuck you. stat system and generally a system: much like D&D, you've got plenty of stats, and thats what makes D&D so deep, that you've got a modifier in different abilities in pretty much all aspects. In Starbound/GC RP, you kind of have to simplify it just a tad so people stay motivated to stay in touch. So I can't do to much like D&D to make it complicated, though, I can't do too little to make it out of touch and seem cartoonish and not even fun. THE POINT OF GAME IS FUN. So heres what I got: Generic health/stamina bar: Health/hull: make heart beat like brrrtt armor: fatass over here is hulk 2.0 Magazine/Stamina: robots less require stamina, and i hate you for that Organic only club bar: Hunger: look man, cannibalism isnt that bad thirst: shouldn't have eaten ted, we fucked up radiation: why go to chernobyl when chernobyl can go to you stats that matter in a general rp purpose: STR: i can lift testament and his fatass (all homo) DEX: shooting and melee is my favorite CON: i am chernobyl INT: bully bait WIS: fool me once, youll be dead CHA: i speak idiot to make you believe im cute and many more will be added if this is wanted, and if people find interest in this. comment the word ice cream if you want this to exist, much like how i met your mother aired and people thought it was funny. TLDR: STALKER 2: electric boogaloo
Like i said in discord, this is best left to be tangentially related to gc, if at all. Going from freeform to ttrpg rules doesn't always translate very well, and youll probably need a very simple system that allows you to be narratively flexible (like powered by the apocalypse) Sounds cool though
Oddly enough a frozen wasteland world that fits your description almost to a T already happens to exist within GC. A world semi-recently plunged into the post apocalypse. A world rife with mutated abominations and the malicious machinations of Mother Nature. A world with nearly 20 factions each with varying goals and methods of achieving them. A world that was once The Elder of Haven and the capital of one of the most advanced and powerful fringe fractions at the time and depending on who you ask ICly also the inspiration for Haven. A Planet called ZECYRIA
