hey! i was here a couple of years back (i left in like, 2015, maybe 2016 at the latest) under a totally different username and i was really shitty to a lot of people and regret pretty much everything about how i acted then (i may have been banned, actually. i don't totally remember. either way, i sucked as a teenager). since then, i've changed a lot - started college, realised i was trans (i'm not out irl yet, unfortunately. family problems), and so on - and a couple days ago i found myself really missing being able to sort of casually be creative and started lurking the forums trying to work out if i wanted to rejoin. i did, so i joined the discord server and dmed staff about it to see if it was okay for me to come back. it was, so i made a new account and here i am.

it turns it's true what they say - you really can't leave this place forever. i cut all ties with gc and the people i knew from gc because i thought it'd be for the best, and now i'm making my way back.

also, what the fuck are we using to recolour armour these days? i can't find how to do it in the newest version of starcheat and none of the old software seems to have been updated for the latest version of starbound.

Welcome back, man! Some stuff's changed since you left, but I think you'll find a lot is still familiar.
Starcheat has a beta version that still works for windows only, but it's not the best way to recolour clothing anymore. I'm a mac user so I use Green's Dye Suite with an eyedropper tool to edit clothes ingame, but windows users can also use SOS, which Wowgain just linked you to in the discord.
The guides section of the forums has some resources if you want to make your custom clothing by editing spritesheets, but that takes a lot longer.

    Welcome back.

If you'd like, I could teach you how to recolor clothing manually, in matter of minutes, in-game, real time - using RexmecK Item Editor mods.
I'm banned from GC Discord, so you'd have to shoot me an invite, my Discord is 17#3746
