Name: Cadavadda - The Rotting Snake.

Description: The Cadavadda is a large serpent that can reach up to 40 meters in length, most known for their dual exoskeletons of green, brown or black scales wrapped around solid plates of bone across its entirety when once damaged gives them a 'zombiefied' appearance, a truly terrifying sight. On the ends of their tails a series of sharp barbs can ejected at high speeds into the face of potential predators and take roughly eight months to grow back. Scientists from Zecyria have always wondered why evolution gave this creature an extra set of defenses and ultimately came to the conclusion that they have been forced to migrate from far larger and more dangerous threats hundreds of kilometers into the Deepwood from the city gates. Unlike other serpents however the Cadavadda is unable to constrict its prey, also containing no venom, instead relying on a massive set of fangs to puncture arteries and internal organs. It also smells heavily of something similar to rotting corpses that attracts prey and is the only indicator one could be near as they make no verbal noise.

Behavior: Due to its dual exoskeleton the Cadavadda is quite a heavy serpent and because of this it needs to conserve as much energy as possible between each meal, resulting in long periods of rest after a feed and a slow cruise through the dense forest canopy when it is looking for one. Just like the majority of creatures that call these woods home, the serpents eyes are very sensitive to light but does not become scared, in fact it would be quite the opposite. Any moving lights close-by will be attacked relentlessly and mercilessly until the light fades away.

    Tamability: Cannot be tamed.

Where is it found?: The Deepwood of Zecyrion, preferring the canopy over the forest floor.

    Rarity: Rare, migrating creatures.

    Diet/Method of gaining energy: Carnivore.

Products?: Fangs, bone and scales that can be fashioned into armor.

Reproduction: Sexual reproduction, lays up to 8 eggs in large burrows.

    Size: 40 meters.

    Weight: Up to 15 ton.

    Lifespan: 60 years.

    Abilities:
    • Can eject barbed bones from its tail.
    • Dual exoskeleton consisting of scales over bone.
    • They are not scared of light or fire like many other creatures in the Deepwood.
    Flaws:
    • Eyes are sensitive to the light and leave the serpent disorientated for a few moments.
    • Must rest for a week after feeding, leaving them weak and vulnerable while energy recharges.
    • Cannot constrict its prey or easily maneuver around trees due to the bone that functions like plate armor.
    • Open wounds are a prime target for insects that literally eat it from the outside in and the Cadavadda will flee for its life if hit fatally.

Aight, S'appen. Pending. So we're gonna need a couple things from you. First, I need an average size for these guys. Depending on size something like this is probably gonna have issues with heat regulation, might want to consider that. What with it's whole body being armor and it living in low light. Also if it's whole body is covered in bone like exo-skeleton and it's really big, it's weight might be higher. Oh and if it doesn't notice injuries, I'm going to assume it won't live for a century and a half.

Alright I'll give this a pass. Just remember; If you leave it out in the sun it's going to be pretty likely to overheat, since it's used to low light conditions.
