Forum name: PrivateNomad Age: 19 Country/Timezone: EST Why do you want to be Staff?: To bring more activity to the server and to bring slight reform to the doings of the staff team so that it benefits the server in more tangible ways. Also, I have a shit ton of lore about the precursors and ancients that not many other people really know. I also want to attempt to modernize the server in terms of tech-related stuff to get it on part with other servers. What skills can you bring to the staff team?: Skill in writing lore. Made (in) Haven and the Undercrypt, wrote two species, helped @WowGain write the tech codex. Planning and running events: Ran an Undercrypt campaign, created the Prisilite Prix, etc. Designing hubs for player use: Built a majority of Haven with @WowGain, remodeled Roma, etc. Technical skill in programming and upkeep What area(s) would you be most interested in helping assist with (if you have more than one preference, list in order of highest preference to lowest)?": Tech Have you had prior experience moderating/staffing an online community?: Yeah I was admin here once If so, where? What were your responsibilities?: Organization and some tech stuff on the side As staff, it is crucial to be visible to the public; on the Forums, through the Discord, and on the Server. Though it is not mandatory to be on these three all the time, do you agree to be as active as possible through these means?: Yeah For better interaction with our users on the Galaxy Citizen Discord server and to take full part in any voice meetings we may have in the Staff Discord, it is recommended that you use a good microphone. Do you possess a microphone (If you do not have a microphone, it will NOT affect your chances for being on Staff)?: Yeah What do you like about this community?: Even though Starbound is in major decline, this community is still somehow alive. It also protects quality of RP unlike other servers, opting to protect RP through enforced rules instead of a lax structure that lets the players do what it wants. What areas would you like to receive help in should you become staff? Events, because that's something everyone should be doing but isn't. What are your weaknesses? I love to start projects but never finish them Galaxy Citizen Character name(s): Sinji, Vaerok, Xiri, Grand Protector Blake Esther, Yorick, ABERRANT
As much as I appreciate the help you're willing to provide, I don't think you're fit for a staff position. Not only your attitude is biased and arrogant (which I deem unthinkable for staff, although it doesn't seem to be a standard on GC) you have also contributed to filling GC setting with random tech apps written just for fun and used maybe once or twice, rendering it tasteless. Just as you've written, you love to start projects but never finish them. And even if you were trusted, the only position I'd imagine you in would be a technician. Please understand that these are just my concerns for GC and not 'haha dum nomad no staff' kind of post. GC is having issues and I think one of the sources of them is in staff. You can still contribute to the server without being a staff member though, especially by creating the events you've mentioned.

I think Nomads got an incredibly blunt and forward way of thinking that can be both a blessing and a curse; one of the other posts on here claims filling the app forums with random tech apps is "tasteless", but it helps to build the world and lore of the setting. You've done a ridiculous level of work on that which is why you'll never escape. +1
