    Name: Avoson Flying Unit®

Description: The Avoson Flying Unit® is a top-notch mail delivery unit. It's design is that of a robotic avian with a jetpack made to resemble wings with a metallic finish. All units have talon-like hands and feet. There is an 1/2x8 inch slot on their chest used for dispensing materials. The optics are capable of being changed to many different colors, but the default is red. Printed on the right side of the leg is the unit's number and on the underside of their right forearm is the etched logo of Avoson®.

Abilities: Avoson Flying Units® are equipped for all situations dealing with mail. A slot in the unit's chest is capable of producing; paper, blank or with printed text; envelopes; scotch tape, duct tape and stickers; gift wrap; and ribbons.

The unit's talons are also made to have many functionalities.

    Right hand:
The thumb is a boxcutter/letter opener.
The index finger is a multipurpose writing tool with multiple functions. It can be changed out with a pen, permanent marker, and a highlighter all of which come in many different colors.
The middle finger is able to produce many different shapes of stamps.
The ring finger dispenses glue and even hot wax for seals.
And the pinky finger dispenses glitter.

    Left hand:
    The thumb is a stapler.
The index finger and the middle finger are a pair of scissors.
The ring finger acts as a hole punch (with a variety of different shapes).
And the pinky finger contains a slide out ruler.

All units are also equipped with a jetpack suited for most standard drones (though much more powerful) which enables them to fly and carry out orders.

Units are fitted with an AI to follow out tasks and orders and can be upgraded to understand many different languages. All Avoson Flying Units® are to follow Asimov’s Laws of Robotics.

Limitations: Avoson Flying Units® can not speak and are not designed too, while most units tend to stay quiet they are capable of making some sounds, mostly that of chirps, coos, and so on.

Despite looking metallic, units are built out of carbon-based polymers which are simply given a metallic paint finish. This makes they capable of flight, but their light weight can also be attributed as an issue when it comes to flying against strong winds.

Due to the tools within their talons, complex hand gestures are hard for units, making things such as sign language somewhat difficult to perform.

How does it work: To store all the materials used by the unit a modified EtM storage device is used. The only modification to the device is cooling measures to protect the material and the unit.
The entire unit is powered using one large atomic battery and is built out of carbon-based polymers.
For propulsion the jetpack uses particle thrusters.

Referenced Technologies: EtM Storage, Particle Thruster

Attainability: Semi-closed (Will be up for purchased from the Avoson® website.)

Hi, I'll be grading this today.

I like the work that was put into this application. Well thought out, and very detailed in both its equipment and functionality.

That said, with the way we are treating applications (especially robotics/drones), I will be giving this app a Deferral to robotics.

Brass tacks, this doesn't need to be apped and is perfectly fine to use without it.

For the sake of flavor and consistency, I'd definitely keep this on hand for if/when it's ic'ly sold and used.

Howdy. Markus has pretty much said it all already, so I'm just going to second their Deferral.
