    Name: Optically-Transparent Ferromagnetic Gel

Description: A fairly dense, transparent gel, composed of a cocktail of conductive materials.

Abilities: Marginally expands when exposed to electrical current, and acts as a conductor. Can be used as a stopgap repair in various electronics, but it was primarily developed for enhanced optics (detailed in Flavor text). As a gel, it holds inertia-dampening properties.

Conditional Abilities (Optional): Typically seen as a downside in its primary applications, it has high thermal retention.

Limitations: Loses conductivity in high heat. As a result, the intended application as a conductor either requires avoidance of such an environment, or ample use of cooling systems. Additionally, due to the composition of the material, its transparent quality is lost over the course of repetitive exposure to electrical currents: in its intended application (optics), this means it needs to be replaced every month or so.

Conditional Limitations (Optional): Excessive heat can also ruin the material's transparent quality. Electromagnetic disturbance will affect it as normal, and microwaves will agitate the metallic particles rather quickly, almost immediately ruining its intended application.

How does it work: Applying nanotech to materials fabrication, the gel is comprised of near-crystalline formations of various metals suspended in a semi-fluid silicate. With a comparable density of hot glue in its 'natural' state, the introduction of an electric current aligns the metallic formations and forces the gel to marginally expand, decreasing its overall density and making it more blob-like; allowing it to fill in gaps in whatever space it's being used in and allow it to take a more definitive shape when applied correctly, while also providing a degree of inertial dampening to whatever may be contained within the gel.

Flavor text: The research and development of Optically-Transparent Ferromagnetic Gel came about as an answer to an inherent problem with long-range optics: stability. The smallest vibration or movement in the housing of the camera(s) would wildly throw off readings, rendering cybernetic users motion-sick or disoriented, and synthetics completely unable to parse or account for incoming data. With the creation of this gel, however, they were able to solve this problem while still allowing full connectivity between optic and end-user. Some end-users insist on having a solid cable still connecting to the back of their eye socket in the case of material failure, but in either case extensive augmentations are required, as well as a proprietary optic, to fully utilize this gel. These optics are generally higher-end, as they're required to compensate for the fact that they're suspended in material (nothing is as transparent as nothing).

Referenced Technologies (Optional): N/A I think

Silly dumb dek. I will be giving this a second pass. The app is now approved for real this time.
