    Name: Scheloran Tormets

Description: Scheloran tormets are a mutant breed of hornets affectionately known as "little agonies" by the native Deadbeats of the wasteland planet of Schelor. They are a little larger than Japanese Giant Hornets, and have large stingers that pierce their prey.

Behavior: Like typical hornets, Scheloran tormets nest in wood pulp nests as well as holes dug in the wasteland ground. Unlike typical hornets, Scheloran tormets are an entirely different breed of asshole; they are not only extremely aggressive, but they are more dangerous. If you thought just a hornet wasn't enough, Scheloran tormets have evolved to salivate superacids that can melt through the thick hides of other Scheloran animals and even thinner armors and clothing - a beekeeper suit won't stop these things. In addition to being able to salivate superacid, a Scheloran tormet's venom is something to be reckoned with, causing excruciating pain to someone being stung and paralyzing that area of their body. The pain is so immense many victims of Scheloran tormet stings have reportedly sawed their own limbs off to escape the pain. Their venom also causes temporary paralysis in the limb stung in, and typically swarms of Scheloran tormets will work to paralyze their prey's entire body. If the victim manages to escape, they will typically die within two hours of being stung unless given an antivenom or advanced medical treatment at a hospital.

Scheloran tormets are extremely territorial, and can emit a very loud buzz to warn people away from them. This buzz is very frightening and entire nests of Scheloran tormets can produce a collective buzz as loud as a small engine. As children, Deadbeats are typically taught to steer clear once they hear this buzzing. Too close to a nest, and the hornets will descend upon their poor victim. It is a very dangerous game for Deadbeats to approach a Scheloran tormet nest and try to bag it in a thick bag as quick as possible; Of course, it is not even a question that Deadbeats have used bagged tormet nests as grenades before. Needless to say, they can be a double-edged sword when not careful.

Tormet antivenom is widely carried among Deadbeat clans.

Tamability: You can capture and contain them, but they will never love you. They have only animosity in their hearts.

    Where is it found?: Schelor

    Rarity: Common

Diet/Method of gaining nutrients and energy: They feed off of the flesh of animals and people they kill.

Products?: They do not produce honey, they do not pollinate, they really only exist to bring pain. If one really wanted to, they could extract tormet venom and have some fun.

Reproduction: Descended from Earth hornets, Tormets also have queens that handle egg laying.

Size: Slightly larger than a Japanese giant hornet.

    Weight: Insects

Lifespan: Tormets have a lifespan of 6 months, whereas queens can live up to a year.

    Abilities:
    • Can salivate superacid that can eat through clothing, leather, and thin armor.
    • Incredibly potent sting.
    • Swarms.
    Flaws:
    • They're still insects and are generally vulnerable to wider attacks.
    • Will become sluggish when exposed to smoke.
    • Venom can be counteracted with antivenom.

Can't wait for this venom to be chemically modified into a super drug (only partly joking)
