Description: Aurora is usually found in a pill form, but is also capable of being crushed up and being snorted. Also, sometimes the drug can be found in the form of a stimpack or needle. The pill is a deep purple color, with some brighter waves running through it. When crushed it it just purple, the small amounts of lighter substances getting mixed in. The stimpack form is also a deep purple liquid, and is much more difficult to make. It is named after the natural phenomenon, Aurora Borealis because of it's effects on your vision. History of Aug/Tech: Rindo, a drug creator and dealer decided to experiment and create his own drug. After much trial and error, he believes that he has made the perfect drug. Mixing together crushed up LSD tablets, a small amount of DMT, and an even tinier amount of crushed Erchius for that extra "kick". Just for the fun of it, Rindo added in whatever he had on hand, making an abomination of powders. With these three powders, he placed the three into a capsule, essentially making a pill. Testing them on willing subjects, he found favorably results, at least for a short time. Rindo left the powders mixed together, having other volunteers snort them directly, there were even better results. The two hallucinogens working together make for a wild experience, making you feel like you can almost see sounds, or hear smells. Naturally, the only place to go from there was putting it into a needle. Heating the creation up and placing it into a cheap needle, Rindo was ready for a final test. Subjects described vivid hallucinations, and a numbness spreading across their body, but "Like, in a good way man, like, I could do anything." It was also described they felt like they could do anything. Little did they know, Rindo secretly placed more Erchius into the liquid, making it much deadly, and more expensive. The subjects were soon addicted, and died after about two months. The perfect drug, Aura. How does it work?: The way Aurora works is mostly in connection with the Erchius. The Erchius' radioactive matter and ability to cause mutations makes the drug effect the cells, weakening the entire body and attacking the brain, while still providing that short burst of fake strength. The other chemicals in the drug make the Erchius' effects weaker, meaning it does not become lethal, letting the body heal most of the small injuries over time. If enough time is given, it is possible to make a full recovery, however this is rare, the drug being addictive. Extended and regular use will not let the body heal enough, allowing the drug to deal more and more damage. In turn, this makes the brain crave more of Aurora to numb the pains caused by the Erchius damages, thus an addiction begins. After a while the cells will mutate heavily and will be rejected by the users body. The body slowly rejecting it's own cells causes a loss of blood, as well as damaging the brain and other organs. Overdosing on Aura would literally be to much Erchius exposure, pretty much killing the brain and other vital organs, which obviously leads to death. Intended use: Usually just for pleasure. The effects are enjoyable, and exotic. The numbness can help people coping with pain, which is a common thing in the Fringe. However, if forced upon someone in large doses, it could be used as a weapon, but the drug is expensive and not commonly used like this. Strengths: -Gives drug dealers another thing to sell. -Lets people experience short term numbness, which helps with pain. ((If used in combat, the numbness lasts for 4 turns if taken in pill or powder, 8 if stimpack.)) -Allows users to experience short term coolness, seeing pretty colors and feeling somewhat relaxed. -Users feel like they could do anything. Weaknesses: -Highly addictive. -Kills cells. -Pretty expensive. -Literally has a radioactive material in it. You could get cancer. -The numbness is only short term, and pain is an important "sense" to have. -Users can't actually do anything, and are in fact usually weaker while under it's effects. -The colors and sounds hallucinated can basically turn into a "bad trip". -The colors seen also block the users vision for the most part. -The sounds heard make you essentially deaf to everything but them. -Can't be used by Glitch or Novakids, weakened effects on Florans. [/b]Effects ((Sorry if I'm not supposed to add this.))[/b] [/b]Short-Term:[/b] [/b]-Hallucinations, both sound and vision.[/b] [/b]-Numbness[/b] -Feeling of [/b]invincibility[/b] Long-Term: -Shorter hallucinations. -Lessened numbness. -Feeling of invincibility lasts longer, being deceiving. Side-Effects: -Bleeding from the eyes. Looks like crying blood. -Internal bleeding. -Addiction/Reliance on the drug. [/b]-Brain hemorrhaging. This is a long-term effect.[/b] [/b]-Feeling weak after a long time of use.[/b] [/b]-Possibly death after long time. [/b] How do you believe this will assist in benefiting roleplay?: A drug gives a purpose to a drug dealer character, which could be fun to have around. Also allows people the ability to not feel pain, at a major downside. Attainability: Open! Anyone is able to get the drug, but I'd prefer people get the drug from a dealer IC. Tags: [Civilian] , possibly [Military] Rather not have it used for fighting. ((I would also like to thank Duskmantle and Gunther Archwing for help with this.))
deferred: its unlikely to be profitable nor probable to be using erchius for your hallucinogen drug of which there are already a surplus of.
