Name of Aug/tech: B.O.B.O.R (Butler Or Bodyguard Original Robot.) Description: A 5 feet tall, grey android that looks a lot like a glitch. it has a large head, which gives the android a child like appearance. It is made out of durasteel and it has green optics. There are 5 tubes coming out of it back, each 2 feet long, with an inch in diameter. It has short legs and arms, leading to it being very slow and it contributes to it's weak and unassuming look. It's hands are 2 times larger than the normal human hand. At the wrist section, the are 3 slots on the top of the wrist, which can send out 3 green plasma claws about 5 inches longer than the robots hands. It has 2 diamond (geometric shape, not carbon based gemstone) shaped plates on the front and back of its ankles, and it's feet are rounded out. there is a hard light projected on both palms, which projects green hard light. History of Aug/Tech: It was originally made to handle crowd control and riots.The cute nature of the bot, and the prime weapon of the bot, the gas that's expelled from the tubes on it's back, were thought to be a necessity by it's creators. The creators were rouge Mechanics searching to make a quick buck on riot control bots, they thought that they could sell bots to factions. One day, one of the mechanics son found one of these bots laying around in his fathers work shop. The child decided to fix it. He replaced the sleep gas with incense and reprogram it to create the butler bot we all know and love today. The boy re-purposed the claws into a way to cut up food for their masters. The young boy showed it to his father, and his father was impressed. That's when the father and son founded Amazing Androids Inc. , and this bot was there first machine for sale. How does it work?: This bot is the classic example of an industrial android. it's very slow and clunky, and uses shocks, valves, hydraulics, pistons, etc. to move around and such. There is a chamber in it abdomen connecting to the pipes. the pipes can expel any gas that's stored in it's chamber, and the owner would fill it with a gas through a valve on the side of it's hip. The android can trigger the pipes opening by sending an electrical charge to the pipes, the pipes opening up, then expelling the gases via pistons in the chamber to push the gasses out. The plating, on the other hand, is very out of the ordinary. It has Heat-resistance above it's durasteel plating, as-well as cold-resistance and corrosive-resistance.It has about NIJ IIIa equivalent plating, being able to defend from a .44 Magnum reliably. On the topic of the plasma claws, it's the classic plasma build. It has a magnetic field surrounding where the plasma will go and it's retractable. The tank can draw in components from the atmosphere, then super-heat, processing it into plasma for use of the claws. Other than when B.O.B.O.R. is letting out gas, or drawing in the atmosphere, the tanks are closed. The projector is wired to a core battery in the chest, above the chamber. The strength of the shield is roughly the same as durasteel. The shield can only work for a limit time as it takes a tremendous amount of energy to sustain. It can only be used for 30 seconds at a time, and can only be used 3 minutes worth per day. Strengths: -It can pacify a large amount of people using the gas in the chamber. -It can roast it's food while it cuts it. -It's chamber can be filled with any gas, so it can be used for many purposes. -It has plasma claws. -Hard light shield. Weaknesses: -It has to refill the chamber every time he uses it, which can take about 30 minutes to an hour. -It is easily hack-able, with barley any hacking protection at all. the best security it has is a malware scanner. -It has to charge every 16 hours, and charging usually takes 8 to 9 hours. -Vulnrable to EMPs -The pipes are somewhat fragile and can be snapped if you put enough pressure on them -Because of it's short stature and childlike appearance it is not able to intimidate How do you believe this will benefit role play?: There aren't many helper bots, or helper's in general out there, so I thought I'd make one.
