Name of Aug/Tech: Eyewing's Wing Implants, Mark III Description: A metal implantation in the back of the owner, with two ports where wings would extend from. The ports can either have specially-made robotic wings plugged in, or a single holographic projector. History of Aug/Tech: This model of implantation, as with its two predecessors, were invented by Eyewing Starkicker. The first model was a detachable backpack-like device purely for cosmetic purposes. The second was an implantation, but once again primarily cosmetic in nature. This is Eyewing's third model, invented and built many months ago with the assistance of a now defunct group known as the Responders. How does it work?: The implantation takes up the entire back region of the augmented, containing three devices. The first device is a large avian power crystal, located in the upper back. The second is a smaller avian power crystal located in the lower back, for emergency use only. The third device is a weak, miniaturized version of the devices used to generate artificial gravity in modern starships. However, instead of only generating gravity downwards in otherwise no-gravity environments, this device is used to counteract an already present gravitational force and pull the user in the complete other direction, primarily upwards. In short, the device allows the user to fly. The implantation also allows the attachment of cosmetic wings or a holographic projector for glowy hologram wings. Intended use: Eyewing made this device for three reasons. The first is out of a wish to defend herself non-lethally from any attackers. The second is out of vanity and a wish to show off. The third is for potential profit from selling the blueprints. Strengths: +Device can exert to a force up to 2.5 Gs +Allows flight, which has its own set of advantages +Looks nice. Weaknesses: -Grabbing and pulling hard on any attached wings is a great way to pull out the user's spine. -The wings have to be re-implemented each time the user is killed. There is a week-long recovery time to such an operation. -Adding solid wings, especially heavy ones, may cause back problems due to weight. -If the main power crystal is shot or otherwise damaged, the user will only have around five second's worth of power to land before the second crystal's energy is depleted. -Avian power crystals are very expensive. How do you believe this will assist in benefiting roleplay?: Adds a unique quality to Eyewing that may help start or continue RP.
