Name: Evolved Qarins Description: A special phase-matter being born from an existing Qarin after having been struck by a Qarin arrow, granting it greater powers. An Evolved Qarin appears similar to the Qarin it was born from, typically undergoing a minor aesthetic change. Abilities: Immediately upon evolution, an Evolved Qarin gains a new power relating to it's previous abilities, functions, and form. For example, an Evolved Qarin with a fire motif may gain limited pyrokinetics. An Evolved Qarin's speed and strength is greater than that of a normal Qarin. Typically 1.5x what it was prior to evolution. Unlike unevolved Qarins, an Evolved Qarin's ability to serve as eyes and ears for it's Bearer does not deteriorate as they move further away. Evolved Qarins are much more resilient to harm, typically being thrice as hard to kill as their unevolved counterparts. Limitations: The same weaknesses as ordinary Qarins, with some changes. An Evolved Qarin cannot travel more than 80 feet away from it's Bearer, rather than the 40 feet ordinary Qarins are limited too. Can only be corporeal for 20 seconds ( 5 combat turns ), before requiring 16 seconds ( 4 combat turns ) to recover. If destroyed, an Evolved Qarin reverts to their unevolved state. Conditional Limitations: The same conditional limitations of ordinary Qarins. How does it work: The process in which Evolved Qarins come into being is rather simple. An already existing Qarin must simply be struck by a Qarin arrow, which infuses it's being with more Qarin essence and brings it's power to greater heights. Over the course of four hours the Qarin slowly undergoes a metamorphosis. At the end of that period the transformation is complete, and the Evolved Qarin comes into being. Flavor text: The first known Evolved Qarin was called Jehovah Gold Over Shamayim and it is possessed by Syed al-Quiche.
