    Introduction

Vampire, Vampyr, the word makes one picture a creature of the night. Sallow beings whose skin bursts to ash in sunlight, and whose very life depends on the blood of mortal men. This, is false- nothing more then mythology. The creatures that call themselves Vampyrs are nothing like that- In fact, they are not creatures at all. They are vessels of a plague, an evolutionary virus with a love for sculpting flesh. All starting from one, single, planet…

    The World Of La’Megoth
    [IMG]

“The swamp is a vicious beast. It will tempt you in with a beautiful gaze, lead you astray from the Vein-Ways, and swallow you whole.” - A Diary of a Bogger

Atmosphere thick and air thicker, La’Megoth is a land of mist and gloom. A grey-green sky expands outwards, reflecting the mass of the bogs that make up the landscape. These knitted clouds cast the surface in a near-eternal night. It is cold and dark, housing only the mutated creatures that have been forced to adapt to it- including the people.

    Planetary infection: forced evolutionary virus
The planet has long since been consumed by what those of the Undercrypt had titled the “Vampyric Plague.” This so-called plague is, in truth, a strand of alien retrovirus that has infected all but the most reclusive creatures of La’Megoth. It keeps itself in a rather unique way, by keeping its subject alive. Those who are infected will shift into a form best suited for their environment, punctuated by a single, great metamorphosis.

The exact origins of the Vampyric FEV are unknown, and theories range from it being a simple natural virus to it being a man-made diseased used to suit soldiers for peak survival.

    The Dragon
    [IMG]

“The Dragon, they call it. This great seed has been leaking radiation for decades, yet they remain? Curious.” - A Study of La’Megoth

A historical landmark of a bygone era, the Dragon sits proud at the capital of the planet. This mighty seedship had brought the original seed of humanity to the planet, in so giving it the opportunity to leave La’Megoth. It is believed that it had carried colonists within cyrosleep, before being brought down by some unknown factor. In the crash, the hull is believed to have been damaged, and the colonists awoken. These pilgrims set themselves up for survival.

Whilst they did that, the Dragon was busy providing them true shelter. In the crash, it had begun to leak erchius into the ground, creating a toxic radiation zone that quickly wiped away all within its path. In this safezone, the city of Dragon’s Tomb would come to be settled by the humans. Those who could stand the radiation, anyways.

    Ecology
The exact date the Vampyric Plague had been introduced to La’Megoth is unknown. What is known, however, is its effects. For all of recorded history, La’Megoth has been an evolutionary arms race, as such, it is a death wish for anyone to enter without proper knowledge of exactly what lurks within. If you survive the hypercarnivorous flora- So starved of sunlight it operates off blood- and the peccant mutated fauna, you must still deal with the lack of natural supply or true prey within a world of predators. It is truly no wonder why in the deadzone alone vampyr thrive.

    The Drakablöd
    [IMG]

“Don’t let their appearance fool, they can be quite gentle when they want to be. Almost, refined. Almost.” - A Skeleton’s Guide to Aristocracy

    Appearance
True Vampyrs are born human, as were all of the original colonists. This does not stop the Plague within their blood from doing its work, not at all. Vampyric young grow and behave much like human young, until they hit puberty. As their body matures, the virus snags onto this already turbulent time within life and uses it for its own cruel purposes. Unlike their beastly kin, their metamorphosis leaves them with a human mind. They slowly mutate into some Unwelmikblod features, and as they age more and more began to shine. The metamorphosis never truly stops, only slowing to a crawl.

“Say what you want about them, Vampyrs make good warriors, at least.” - Words from a Drifter

Native Vampyrs are ghostly pale, often albino, with their melanin being mainly within their reflective eyes and dark hair. Anatomy overall appears like that of an earthly European. Advanced vampyrs- both those who undergo extreme changes and those of advanced age- appear more animalistic. They often lose hair, discolor skin, and have limbs severely reshape themselves. Skin membranes like those of bats often appear with these adaptations. The growth of fangs and claws is inevitable, along with pointed, mobile ears.

    The Unwelmikblöd
The Drakablöd are what happens when the metamorphosis slows, and the mind is nigh-untouched. But what happens when it doesn’t? Well, that is the Unwelmikblöd. Ravaged by the plague, they exist as nothing more than animals. These Post-Humans make up a variety of “breeds,” all hyper-fitted to their environment.

Whilst they make up a small percentage of La’Megoth’s fauna, it is hard ignore their uncanny features or effects on the wildlife. Despite this, the most commonly seen of them are often those of the Drakablöd. Having succumb fully to the disease, they often return to their homes even in their feral state. There are two types of “urban” Unwelmikblöd.

The first is the “Lamia,” native to La’Megoth. They have fully adapted to the bog, and have been shaped into a serpentine sort of humanoid. They are stealthy, near silent in their slithering. They are at all times ready to pounce on their prey, be it with their razor-sharp fangs, velicoperator claws, or grasping feet.

The second breed, the Undercrypt Lamia, or “Gargoyles” as the natives are insistent to call them, have evolved to cave life. They are capable of full flight- though noticeably can not hover- and are as predatory as their La’Megothian cousins. Their sight is nonexistent, and thus rely on sound and scent. Unlike their kin that hunt through thermal sight. This breed is also notable for having established small “settlements” within cave sections, and show signs of being social creatures, unlike the solitary La’Megothian.

Despite their connection to the Vampyrs, these beasts that. Other than the rarest exceptions, humanity and memory are all but entirely lost upon the end of the metamorphosis. And as such, they are left to be just another monster within the dark.

    History

    The Crash

Somewhen following the year of 2500, at the dawn of mankind’s interstellar adventures, one of several colonial ships were sent into the cosmos and lost to the void. It was eventually forgot about, as just one of several casualties to space. This vessel became The Dragon.

Somewhere between the years of 2800 and 3000, the vessel crashed upon the Bog-Planet. It is unknown how it crashed, perhaps it was the gravity of La’Megoth, perhaps it was shot down by another space-farer, or perhaps the on-board autopilot had simply saw it as an eligible colony. Regardless, the ship crashed into the quagmire, the colonists awoke, and rushed to set up colonies and continue their mission. This age of humans was afraid, alone, and without tools to gather even the most basic of resources. Doomed from the start, some would say.

    The Plague disagreed.

    Survival Of The Fittest

Due to lack of infrastructure, the survivors failed to join. They were made to wander, making shelters and homes wherever they could. In these early days, many died of disease, starvation, or predators- Especially predators. Those that survived, however, grew stronger, hardier, and just a little more wild. Through the plague they were plunged into this period of rapid adaptation, and they came out the better for it.

It began simply, neighboring settlements growing sickly, sallow. They were bedridden for weeks, months on end… and then word stopped. As loss of trade grew people to investigate. Upon arrival they found marks upon the landscape, bodies amassed into piles and empty homes. The markings on these eaten cadavers matched no known predators of La’Megoth.

These events grew ever common and sightings of new creatures in the bog gave the survivors a fright- a new creature, aware of their presences? Such would be deadly. Soon, the last village of man was destroyed, and with it, humanity left the swamp.

    De-Extinction

Found only on hand-scrawled journals and manual relays within the Dragon, the age of De-Extinction was marked by the abundance of post-human species- numbering upwards of twelve different variants. Some were not different from the humans they formed from, some were capable of camouflage, symbiosis, pelagic life, and even flight. Before the iconic Drakablöd rose from the ashes of humanity, a different group emerged.

No specimen of this species remains, but their bodies show a beyond mutated form of post-human that had one very key feature- an oversized brain, larger than that of normal humans. They also sported several spider-like arms made from their former fingers. This group built the initial city around The Dragon, and seemed to have great interest in unlocking its secrets. To a degree, they were successful, restoring data about Earth, Space, and the miraculous survival of the British English language. Besides their discovery, much of this civilization has been lost to time, and the early mythology and scientific findings of the Drakablöd tell the story of how.

    The Dragon Emperor

In Lamic folklore, there is talk of gods walking the soil of La’Megoth. They ran the world from the corpse of a great sky-beast, to them, the vampyr were naught but animals. One god, however, saw potential within the beasts, and gifted upon them the Heart of Knowledge. This god was Saalassar, the forge of mind. Through this Heart, they learned the ways of gods- the way of farming, of medicine, of voice and mind. The supposed gods later cast Saalassar to the earth, angered at him for spurring thought within the obedience of the Vampyr. The last supposed thought the Heart gave the Vampyr was that, if one drank from it, they would gain knowledge and power even beyond that of Saalassar. [IMG]

“Hearts? What good are hearts!? Oh. oh. Okay.”

And so, from the bondage and suffering of the god arose a hero, Alusidos, the first Dragon Emperor. He was prophesied to be the first and greatest of the crown. The people rallied behind this great man, and after a heroic campaign against these “Gods,” and, surprisingly, won.

It was in this heroic act that the Tran dynasty was proclaimed, the greatest, and only rulership La’Megoth has ever known.

Beyond this point, the history of the Drakablöd becomes far more clear. The Vampyrs quickly took over their kin’s land and culture, building up from it- effectively, if crudely. And a line of monarchs has come forth from Alusidos’ children. Each emperor brought with it a new age of growth and development in the city, but with time they slowly grew more chaotic as political intrigue enveloped the system, threatening to destroy the third wave of Post-Human. At least until they met the creatures of the Milky Way.

    Foreigners

Nearly a century ago, portals opened across the boglands, heralding the appearance of a new species- The Remnants. At first, these visitors were met with hostility, seen as demons and held as enemies against the Trans. But with time, these ideas slowly faded, with the remnants even becoming a great help to most of Vampyric technology and culture.

Remnants are where Vampyrs get their council system, in which the monostate is separated into six powerful tribes, ruled by the Dragon Emperor. An era of scientific discovery, political enlightenment, and exploration followed as remnants started to gained rights, status, land and wealth.

    Discovery and the second takeoff.

Many Vampyrs, after the introduction of Remnants, became enthralled with the idea of other worlds, and in so these great mages modified the Remnant’s own portals in pursuit of new lands to call home.

These experiments landed them below the planet of Purgatory, within the depths of the Undercrypt. In there, Vampyrs met strange creatures, and stranger people. It was through interaction with these folks that much of the finer details of their civilization were forged. It was from the Skeletons they got their name, Vampyrs. It was from the Humans they got their finalized architectural and governmental systems, formatting them into a proper government- if a seemingly ancient one.

As the Undercrypt was discovered, La’Megoth was also discovered. And through interactions the Vampyric race became acquainted with the great galactic society as a whole. They met new species, experienced new ideas, and sought new places to explore. It was quite underwhelming for such an infant civilization who had nought but a few centuries to them. And by the decree of the council, La’Megoth became majority isolationist, with all but the Undercrypt colonies becoming almost entirely blocked off from outside aliens to reach.

This was the status quo for some time until the Archons had made their way to the planet, and through the ‘political genius’ of the current Dragon Emperor, Zuhko Tran, La’Megoth became a puppet state of the Archons, and now hesitantly opens their borders for foreign interactions.

    Culture and Society
    [IMG]

“Confusion. I swear, Vampyrs don’t even know how titles work! A queen and an emperor? What?” - An overhead glitch.

Vampyric culture is an odd mashup of new ideas and those stolen from the various societies they’ve been compared to or interacted with. From the Remnants they stole their political structure and religion, from their precursors they took their technology and city, and from the Undercrypt they stole their culture. All of these factors line up to a macabre conglomeration of features that they have no reason to have.

    Modern Vampyric Society

Noble Vampyrs are set apart from their peers by wealth and relations. The closer ones blood lines up to the crown, the more important you are. The more land and riches you own, the more important you are. If you have no land or money, but tie to the Dragon Emperor, you are someone. If you have land and money, but no tie to the Dragon Emperor, you are almost someone. This leads to strong seperation of living conditions. Famine and grime strikes the lower class communities of Dragon’s Tomb, whilst the higher class live in riches and splendor.

Furthermore, new money is shunned and hated by old money, as they are viewed as simpletons with a few coins to them, nothing more- Due to them often lacking the grace and honor of elder noble families. From this, familial feuds and assassination grows ripe within Vampyric communities.

This single minded focus has created a thick, impenetrable aristocracy. The nobles of the Vampyric world seldom care for, or are expected to care for, the lower class. As such, Vampyric peasants are more suspicious of nobles that are out for their benefit then they are those that simply forget they exist, an odd prospect to other races.

There is, however, a third type of important individual. This breed is remarkably new to La’Megoth, and frightens the aristocrats uptop. These youth take up quests to rescue damsels, slay great beasts, discover new lands, and slaughter savages. Due to their odd place within La’Megoth’s caste system, it is in fact more likely that a noble would kill an up-and-coming adventurer then they would a known rival.

    The Heart and Royalty

Magic is perhaps one of the most prestigious arts one can pursue, as it is believed to connect one to the Heart of Knowledge, and the blood that pours from it forevermore.

The Heart of Knowledge rests within the deepest inner halls of the royal palace at the center of Dragon’s Tomb. Its pink goo pumps endlessly from the core of La’Megoth, fueling every electrical processes of the populace. Ever since the discover it the Heart, it has been tradition for the Dragon Emperor to drink straight from it. It is only an unfortunate coincidence that this blood has been found to be, in fact, liquid erchius fuel. The heart itself, however, has never been seen by an outsider. Its existence, and seemingly endless supply, has remained a mystery to modern science. The constant exposure to erchius radiation, however, has been shown to have positive effects on the Vampyrs, as they’ve grown resistant to its effects.

Even when faced with the dreadful truth, the tradition remains and is vehemently defended. However, ritualistic inbreeding and consumption of rocket fuel has had its effects on the nobles of La’Megoth, each group of nobles remains more and more insane then the last, with seemingly no end in sight, none more notable then the current emperor of Zuhko Tran, who has been theorized to have severe mental issues, such as autism and bipolar disorder.

Blood Magic, Dragon Blood, and Druidism

“They call it magic, cute.” - More than Magic.

Vampyric arcana is rarely true anomaly, and never true magic. It is simply nanotechnology taken from the Humans, and later advanced with the help of the Undercrypt’s many mages.

Druidism is one of the most common, and often dangerous, arts practiced on La’Megoth. Druids devote their lives to understanding and manipulating the carnivorous flora of their homeland. Botany and alchemy- chemistry, really- are held to importance under this field. Through careful experimentation they slowly advance the lifeforms of La’Megoth into much more useful forms. Masters of this art are capable of setting up complex flora-forests, with reclaimer vines and swamp jaws set up as if typical items. It is also from this field that the many odd herbs of La’Megoth are formed, and used in the creation of potions.

Blood Magic is done using the relatively simple techniques of Liquid Control Nanobots, merely instead of any liquid, the uses blood is pumped full of the little robots, and permanent piercings established within major veins, to allow it to slip out. This process also involves fusing the nanobots into the users nervous system, giving them full control over their arsenal. Talented sanguinomancers often carry additional vials of blood with special properties- such as corrosive additives. These nanomachines are, intern, powered by their casters own metabolism, and, among smarter casters, a reserve of their foe’s own fluids.

Should a caster like this consume liquid erchius, the fuel supercharges their nanobots, allowing them to move much faster and much more forcefully then normal, as well as overall strengthening the spell.

Advances in Vampyric “Technomancy”- as some scientists are prone to label it- are driven almost entirely by the race’s wish to mimic the psionic abilities of their Remnants, whom are much more prone to such arts. Creations used to mock such abilities range from odd garments like the Vampyric Mask to Spell Matrixes capable of containing a variety of odd features.

    Twisted Faith

Vampyrs have taken in the religion of the Remnants as their own. But, in the words of one Thaniik scholar, “No cult survives contact with the Vampyrs.” The Vampyrs immediately began mixing the Thaniik religion with their own Pagan folklore. This quickly gave roots to a great variety of odd and almost unrecognizable cults. The most influential, however, was the Cult of Dicarre. Dicarre, in Thaniik lore, is the embodiment of empathy and chaos, and the cult believe this to be the force required for existence. This cult rapidly took over the Thaniik Churches.

Whilst other cults and even villages devote themselves to other gods, none reigns as great as Dicarre. In truth this is merely because it enforces a strict moral code, of no moral code. As such the Vampyric aristocracy could get away with whatever they wished to. And as this is typically considered religious efforts, they are free from legal repercussions. It is often said that a hungry Lamia is much easier to face down a silver-tongued noble, which is, to most, the greatest predator of all.

    Undercrypt Schism

The colonization of the Undercrypt lead to perhaps the greatest schism within Vampyric history, as, so far from La’Megoth, the new villages were virtually free of the Aristocracy. This encouraged a slippery slope of adventurous attitude that played greatly against the conservative attitude that had kept Dragon’s Tomb thriving for so long. This combination of radical ideals reached a boiling point in one great battle, in which the Aristocracy found out that it was worthless to try to seize the Undercrypt, and closed off their portal. Shortly after the portal closing, the mark of a new Vampyric society came as the first Cryptic Lamia was born. Undercrypt culture, to this day, remains everchanging. Whilst La’Megoth stays in as much of a grinding halt as its overseers can force onto it.

“Pretty? How do you find these buildings pretty? Pretty creepy, more like it!” - The late glitch jester, Screwloose.

    Themes and Style

Vampyric architectural style was influenced primarily by the Undercrypt and Victorian Earth, which clash together rather glamorously in their buildings. Their builds reach to the sky with mighty towers, high walls and flying buttresses to spare, all built into great stone foundations overtop the loose and shifting swampland soil. Dragon’s Tomb itself has aged poorly, as the Dragon slowly sinks further and further into the ground with time, cracking rock and offsetting nearby structures. For years it has been joked that every building around can’t help but bow to the palace, but few know the true reason.

Vampyric Fashion is themed after the Undercrypt in particular, with Remnant sensibilities and clothing pressures. This creates abundant layers of fabric all done in dark-age style. The more layers one puts on, and the more cohesive it looks, the better. The more jewelry you can pin to yourself, the better. The pressure of this society is so strong that everyone, even the men, are encouraged to wear corsets to show off their slender and fit bodies.

    Foreign Infected
The Drakablöd may be but one race, but the virus cares not for the identity of those it infects. As such, many odd breeds of Vampyr are capable of being created, free of the social pressures of the race. Some even see the virus as the key to becoming the perfect organism, but this is far from true. The FEV has undergone much experimentation with the Vampyrs and has embedded itself into their genetic code. The same cannot be said for foreign infected.

In foreign infected, the virus still tries to fit one for their environment, but the genetics and biology are all different. And from this wild experimentation, cancerous monsters can form.

This is, however, only if the infection gets into the late stages of the FEV, which is very rare for those newly exposed. More often than not, the plague stops before the metamorphosis, much like it does in the Vampyrs.

Because space is so diverse, it is increasingly less likely that the FEV will do anything at all to an infected that travels often, but in stable environments, one will begin to see changes creep onto them like a monster in the night.

“Florans were horrible before, who thought this was a good idea!?” - Experimentations in FEV.

    Building an Unwelmikblöd
When making an Unwelmikblöd, it is important to know which groups can not be infected, the following are a list of species types that have been deemed incompatible with the virus.

    • Inorganic life, or life without a genome. (Ex, Glitch, Novakid)

    • Fellow gene-altering or shapeshifting species. (Ex, Shin’Kali)

    • Biology to alien for the virus to even decipher (Ex, The Visitant, Firstborn, Ravir)
With that out of the way, given the nuance involved with the mutation process and the concepts of evolution itself, to begin your process to become an Unwelmikblod, send zecon125 or Dekerrex on the forums, steam, or Discord.

Heyo! I'll be seconding this. I've only got one thing I'd like to see more detail on is the sections regarding the Dragon and the arrival of the humans that were to become the Drakablod to LaMegoth. Details like when they arrived, information about the original crew and why they were going there, the like.

    Pending.

When they arrived had been purposely left vague, as the Drakablöd themselves don't know. However it is stated that the original crew were colonists, and that they had crashed landed. I can elaborate if needed.

Mhm, IC vagueness is fine, I'd just like to have the details on like, when the humans arrived and such.

"Somewhere between the years of 2300 and 2450, the vessel crashed upon the Bog-Planet." Has been added to the second paragraph of The Crash. Will this do?

    Important note!

The Drakablod and Vampyr are now a closed species- meaning you'll have to talk to me first on the lore of a character before playing them. If you are currently playing a Drakablod or Vampyr, I would like to report to me so we can work out how the lore revamp actually effected their character and how best to handle such changes.

    That is all.

    Species of La’Megoth
    The Drakablod
    Physiology
. . Swagging and stoic, the noble Drakablod is unquestionably one of the highest standing common variants of our blessed species. Native to the dignified central bogs, we are possessive of many up-standing traits, among these are our sharped and enlarged front-teeth, mobile ears, and darkened hair. Our kind sets the quota for what is expected from His Majesty’s people, as the progenitor of intelligence and beauty within La’Megoth, most other races breed downwards from us, sullying their high blood in foreign lands.
    Culture
. . Possessive of the most developed sense of righteousness and the mindset to see it forward, we of the bogs have the leading governmental system within all of La’Megoth- That being our worlds-famous aristocracy, so bodaciously led by Emperor Zuh’ko Tran himself, in which us of higher divinity vow to serve for the people below, doing right by them as we continue our just rulership. Beyond that, we are also the breed that holds the truest religion in the land- Proper Thaniism, developed out from the oft-misunderstood Thaniifarri. Worshipping Dicarre and his righteous balance through death and entropy. Is it any wonder why our ilk was blessed by the Dragon’s Heart itself?

    The Midlenblod
    Physiology
. . An, un-fortunate breed of our folk, the Midlenblod take their perch between the peons and the nobility. They over-stuff themselves to display their meager, full coffers- Creating a pool of foul, gluttonous divinity around their flabby, enlarged body. Without dexterity, many of them result to using and throwing their pure weight to re-achieve locomotion. This does result in them being rather accomplished body-guards and bouncers when they can remove their fell pride. Though it doesn’t oft happen, Ser Lanley swears by seeing one of them that had managed to lose the weight. The result was… off-putting as he put it. Saggy skin with a powerful heart, lungs, so on. Putrid thing, really.
    Culture
. . Considered by some a sort of demon or parasite upon our grace, these units, HOWEVER absolute, are putrid things to behold. They are but commoners who have taken themselves and yoten to a higher elevation within the castes without taking in the proper work- Submitting themselves as cruel land-lords, business owners, and traders without even consulting the noble families meant to do just that. Quite unepic, by all standards.

    The Unwelmikblod
    Physiology
. . Truly disturbing, these fell beasts desert the standards of even the Midlenblod in their putrid forms- Legs having combined into a single, long, tail, and feet and hands having mutated into horrid pincers capable of delivering swift and un-predictable vibe checks to even the most perceptive of knights. Their eyes are large and wide, eternally opened with no visible markings- Their in-divinity granting them the power to track prey even through the remarkable fog of our homestead. It is… worth noting that their infantile stages are reported to be quite… unassuming, however, Lanley won’t feed me more information than that.
    Culture
. . Often occurring from the more be-deviled of our ilk, those that once had proper intelligence often stalk the yards of their old estates, living as a feral wraith of their former self until disposed of by the family. Those that hadn’t, however, have been seen to be almost entirely feral, without wit more than to utilize the ruins strewn about our swamps for their nesting grounds. However, there are times at which they have been seen using tools, even building crude shelters on their own. It is frightening how far these crude mimicks go in trying to mock our grace.

    The Cieleblod
    Physiology
. . The men of the mountains so high above, caked in the fogged clouds and spiraling winds. These beasts of burden bear strong, stable hooves in place of the typical, idyllic foot-styles born to most of our majesty- And their faces, from their temples sprout two brutish horns in a style most unholy. Their bodies cake in flowing, mane-like hair that their suits barely manage to contour to their figure- Born to take on more warmth than us, it seems- Their altitude may be an inclination of this oddity. They are possessive over their unique physique- Borne of muscular, barbaric figures.
    Culture
. . While these hill-folk would seldom pass for even a particularly good bouncer in the pits of the Dragon’s Tomb, and have an odd aversion to the life-blood of the dragon, they somehow have managed to cobble together some beginnings of a society. They occupy a single, massive city upon their plateau, so packed with ice. They pray to some fell god at a yellowed obelisk within its center, slaving away to appease their idol. This does, however, make them decently hard-working stock, and the few that make their way down from the mound tops are… worksom, at least.

    The Eotenblod
    Physiology
. . Stated by the Cieleblod to be ‘as us as the Unwelmik are you’, these fell spring-offs are vile fusions of feline and ram, a proper chimera stalking the higher regions of the bogs and the glacierous towers their kin-blod find fit to call a homestead. They are huddled forward like the great apes of old, with a ferocious pounce and a pair of thug-like horns taken from their lesser folk, and the hair to prove it.
    Culture
. . Can they even be deemed to have such a thing? Their hunting tactics are simply enough in that they, rather un-creatively, throw whichever bodacious pussy they wish to call their meal off the nearest cliff, and safely retreat down after gravity had taken well in killing it for them. They make borrowing hovels in their native snow-mounds, or so Lanley has told me. He, however, never struck the bravery to go in one of these animalistic estates.

    The Umborblod
    Physiology
. . ...These light-seers are ‘blessed’ as they so felly mis-use the word, with proper functioning eyeballs that see in, they report, the full range of colors- They however, have rather pitiful night vision, even in only the lightest of nights and smog-clouded days. Their hands and legs have been cruelly mutilated via snapping the Ulna and Radius, and Fibula and Tibia apart and setting in wooden or stone replacements in their part- Giving them two, smaller and weaker arms attached to their stubs. Their heads are slightly enlarged, for whatever reason, and they sport extra digits and climber’s claws- Allowing them to even stick to ceilings. This, is what you get for burrowing down in the caves of old.
    Culture
. . Dwelling near the light-bearing plants beneath the ground, they’ve taken residents in the false progenitor’s ruins- Built along what they believe to be paves to enlightenment, but what we good folk all know as geo-thermal vents within the crust of the world-sphere. They worship those old crones, sacrificing their proper forearms for something almost in their likeness. They worship life, the essence of creation, and not the righteous deathly decay we are all to know does us the most good. They are FOUL beings.

    The Ratblod
    Physiology
. . Grim and slim, the Ratblod dwell upon the coastline cities and ram-shackle huts of our great land. The name itself is a generalization for two great pests that share a culture- The feather-bearing of the two is uniquely capable of small flight patterns and sailing the oceans of La’Megoth thanks to strong ocean winds, with skin-flap wings forming from their arms to their legs, and out-ward facing, hooked teeth used in snatching food and coin from unsuspecting victims. The slime-coated other is more aquatic, bearing of eel-y skin and sunken eyes with translucent lids, these shore-scavengers often possess webbed hands and toes, and are one of the few sorts capable of swimming the seas without getting horrid frostbite.
    Culture
. . The culture between these two foul omens is much the same- Little thieves who believe themselves progenitors from some great land across the sea, they rob and steal minor items from the citizens of our motherland like a nuisance. They are noted to be remarkably crafty with what they can get- Often forming make-shift weapons and armor with it, though where they smith these items is not quite known, or even how.

    Nobility of La’Megoth
    House Tran
    Majesty
. . A proper Tran stands not quite un-like the Drakablod they rule over- Possessing proper Nyxian-black hair with sprecklings of whites and the occasional off reds. A key and often identifiable difference is the fangs- Unlike the Vampyr, whose canines grown to sharp and abysmal points, or the Drakablod, whose front teeth grow to knife-like and delicate edges, the Trans whole mouth is made up of carnivorous fangs and regrow at doubled the speed of the typical man. As royal blood of La’Megoth, a pure Tran’s own ability to drink the Dragon’s Blood is often three to four times more than that of their lesser cousins. This is often credited to their outstanding succ game on the Dragon’s Heart itself.
    Repute
. . The noblest of nobles, the royal family of the Dragon’s Tomb has a truly thicc reputation along the lesser folk- However, the current king upon the throne sets an odd precedent before him. Zuh’Ko is, to be respectful, batshit crazy ho from all accounts, though his odd decisions often turn out for the veiled benefit of the kingdom below him. Beyond this, the family at large despises his persona, ostracizing his majesty.

    House Draephys
    Majesty
. . The Draephyses are a tried and true testament to perhaps the noblest goal- The purest, clearest blood possible. Their breed is so clean that each figure set out amongst them is nigh perfectly identical, give or take gender and clothing. They are, however, a family of Drakablod beyond this killer, three-sixty no scope of regality.
    Repute
. . As a family based and biased towards the magical and arcane studies, the Draephyses possess a high altitude in the magic gang- Their clan home rests upon the sight where the Thaniifarri originally touched down upon our badass lands. They have an odd affinity for a figure they entitle as the start of the clan- ‘Father Draephys.’ They’re currently headed by a pair of birth-twins with an outstanding familiarity for the arcane, even amongst their kin.

    House Vaelys
    Majesty
. . House Vaelys is known for their odd affluence over their appearance- Possessing many, interlocking, shifting bone-plates across their body that allow them to retract their sick claws and wicked nasty fangs. Their ‘typical’ appearance, at least around the public, possesses a beautiful and attractive glow- Palest white skin, blackest dark hair, and eyes so sapphiric red one could boil away in their gaze. The other appearance has only shown itself when attacked- And Sir Lanley only quite told me it was a ‘Swamp ass motherfucker’ of a mutation. I am remiss to say I have no clue what it may look like in full.
    Repute
. . An odd curse follows those of the Vaelys Clan- Striking down their noble mates and wives, bringing upon them great grief as love after love is struck down before them. This, however, does seem to have fostered a keep-moving-forward attitude within them- As a death never quite marks the end of their love-life, only a small, month or so long halt as they drink away their sorrows and dance the sobs away.

    House Herrichn
    Majesty
. . The poverty-striken house Herrichn is known for its odd variety of our blessed divinity- A foul curse that leaves them baby-faced up and until their mid forties, whereupon they experience all their mutation in one, fell swoop. Many, expectedly, don’t live past such a sudden onslaught of varying blessings. However, those who do are some of the finest specimens of the Drakablod there are.
    Repute
. . This woefully poor and unworthy house barely hinges itself onto the proper upper-class lifestyle they should have. It is believed to be due to this fowl mockery of our prestige that they have been stricken with this stank-ass plague of theirs. It’s just as good as anything, I say- They shouldn’t be pretending to be something they aren’t, after all.

    House Brasityier
    Majesty
. . A near-fallen house, those that remain on La’Megoth are notable for their luminescent yellow eyes, dark-grey skin tone and remarkably un-fanged jaws. Besides for these key differences, they are seemingly an exact likeness of the Drakablod- However, reports do say they have an odd, hallucinatory and intimidating affect on their guests.
    Repute
. . Rebonding much better then House Tale, House Brasityier uses their ‘adventurous’ heir as a claim to fame- Using his pension for fear-tactics, a trait he had in fact learned whilst on La’Megoth, to strive a new niche. Though the nobles themselves are seldom seen, most know to fear their elegant mansion, perch up-on the jagged rocks below the mountain cliffs.

    House Tale
    Majesty
. . House Tale is… ugly. By almost all notes, their particular breed of dipshit is the exact sort of dumb-ass you’d expect- That is to say, they’re a normal, if slightly low-blood Drakablod by all appearances. That is, excepting the head of the household’s odd pension to life- Believed to be immortal, if not possessed of the single longest lifespan in all of La’Mic or Under-Cryptic history.
    Repute
. . The single worth-note member of House Tale is Arlington Tale himself… who is noted by all to be a worthless adventurer who never amounted to anything in the Under-Crypt. The End.

    Species of the Under-Crypt
    The Vampyr
    Mutation
. . The fell, Under-Cryptic Vampyr are a scant perversion of our true glory- While superficially similar to Drakablod in some aspect, they can key be told apart by their wolf-like fangs, rather then the true glory of our own maw. Likewise these… Vampyr, are prone to out-sourcing their blessing to other species, meat-species as it were.- The three-eyed fish, the long-standing birds, whatever you’d want to call them all. To be frank, it is utterly sickening.
    Perversion
. . Adoptive of their new home in ‘Eeriebyss’, the Vampyr have taken to the foul ways of the beings found within- From their much too old-school ‘hip’ lingo, what with its “Thees” and “Thous” and “-eths”, to their utterly vile architecture- Which is to say entirely that medieval, fantasy, bull shit they flaunt around there! It makes me sick!

    The Lamia
    Mutation
. . To the Vampyr what the Unwelmikblod are to us, do I even need to go on about them? Some brutish and shitty rip-off of what we did better. Bat monsters, or something. Yaaawn.
    Perversion
. . Second verse, same as the first! Some rip off of our snake-men. They something almost like intelligence, and take home in what-ever crude hovels they can hobble together for their own livelihoods, but seem utterly feral when time strikes them.

    The Glutton
    Mutation
. . And I thought the Midlenblod were bad… These ‘gluttons’ are aquatic bottom feeders in almost every sense of the word- Possessing a powerful maw that makes up the entirety of their face, with an up-turned nose positioned on their scalp, they are capable of fucking shredding anything they wish to eat- Often whatever is nearest.
    Perversion
. . From what… Arlington… tells me, these gay-lords were once under the rulership of some vile siren that led herself as queen of a cult- And of course, he """valiantly""" """slayed""" this witch, """all by himself""". Like any of us believe that. What their current situation is? Little is known.

    The Gallow
    Mutation
. . A somewhat more enjoyable spin-off of the Lamia, the Gallow looks more closely to the bats of Earth- Possessing rather boring winged arms and legs, with extended fingers and pointed, batty ears. As to be expected from a cave dweller, it owns no eyes- instead subsisting on two hollow sockets.
    Perversion
. . While cowardly and brutish, hailing from the cave-tops of Erebus, these bat-monsters have, apparently, more intelligence than their dullard cousins- But their frighty, flighty nature leads them often to follow the orders of whoever they are in the ‘service’ of, in most cases this is an older Gallow.

    Species Miscellaneous
    The “Vampire”
    Astro-Physiology(?)
. . The void-fairing blessed, these ignoramuses take our wonderful disease and book it off-world to their life within the miserable ‘Fringe’ as if nothing had happened at all. Due to their often Nomadic and plane-hopping life-styles, these hoes often do not experience as blunt of changes as our good folk. They do have the typical marks, how-ever- Paled skin, off-colored hair, reflective red eyes, fangs, and claws. Beyond this, many reported an odd and altered sleep-pattern- Likely a result of not keeping within a single solar cycle for much time at all.
    Whatever
. . There is no unifying culture to the ‘Vampires’, it seems. They are just a bunch of broke-ass adventurers and what-have-yous doing whatever they damn well please. It’s disgusting.
