Tolkin United. An illegal mining operation on the edge of Civspace, situated on an asteroid orbiting a war-torn planet. It is here that Vadim Soosnekev was raised. Brought into this fold by his father due to his mother's sudden passing, and inducted into a small circle containing Tobias Tolkin, Vadim's father, and a select few. This circle of people was dedicated to keeping Tobias alive through...well, the story gets vague here. Hell, even I don't know, and I'm the omnipotent narrator! Anyway, as time went on, Vadim grew into a strong, capable man, eventually taking his father's place as the #2 in Tolkin United. Then, disaster struck. A tight-knit band of raiders found their operation, killing all but two. Tolkin, and Vadim. Taking Tolkin's core, he managed to sneak his way to their own ship, rigging it to blow the second the engines fired up. At this point...the story becomes rather odd. Apparently, the explosion caused from the ship sent the asteroid back down into orbit, with Vadim miraculously surviving the descent.

They were on this irradiated hellhole for nearly a year. It wore Vadim down, but he still maintained that strength of his, somehow. They picked up a young avian, who Vadim took under his wing(yes, I know) as his own son. Eventually, they were able to get off-world together. Life was good for a while. They lived out of the ship, used what funds were left from the now-defunct company, and drifted through space, unaware that someone else survived that crash.

Vadim hasn't been seen since the first Miskatonic assault.
