Name: Invisibility Cloaks Description: When not active, an invisibility cloak is typically a dark gray color with a hexagonal pattern of nanoweave. Once activated the cloak will start to fade to mask the environment and will eventually become, unsurprisingly, invisible. Abilities: When still, the user appears almost totally invisible. Since it's a cloak, the invisibility cloak is rather flexible in how it can be used. It could be worn over armor, wrapped around an item to hide it, etc. The aegisalt fabric insulates body heat, shielding the user from infrared cameras. Limitations: When not still, the user blurs and shimmers, based on the speed of their movement. An EMP will destroy the cloak's sensors. Some part of the user's face, or eyes, are shown. This is usually hard to notice, though. How does it work: Similar to the HERMES MK XII Active Camouflage Suit, nanosensors in the cloak's aegisalt weave create an active camouflage. This application is under light pending. I find the application to be fairly acceptable for what it is. My only real question is, how long is the battery life, on average? It would be good for reference. In addition, what color is the cloak when it is inactive? The latter question is less important, and just regards flavor text.
Battery life depends on how big of a battery is attached to them, of course, but the average cloak is looking at having a battery life of 24 hours. As for color, they're a dark grey when inactive.
Alrighty. I think that is really all I need to know, and I don't really have any concerns. This is getting an initial pass.
This doesn't seem like anything but a downscaled HERMES suit. Incredibly simple and explained sufficiently so consider this is passed and approved.
