----- The milky way was littered with numerous observation stations and drones, each and every little eye and ear for each and every race and group that could afford one turned out into the cosmos. Tachyonic, radio, it mattered not the method- those machines were watching, listening for anything out of the ordinary. An incoming enemy, the creation of a new star... There were many things to watch for. However, today one of these eyes in the proverbial abyssal skies found something quite unexpected. What first fed back into the intelligence systems of military and civilian networks alike was a massive spike across all Tachyonic frequencies. Something had ripped through the barriers between Hyperspace and Realspace with little effort, the 'tear' closing shortly after with explosive effect that sent shockwaves of particles far and wide. Soon after, probes in the area, the Fringe of the Fringe, all the way at the edge where the galaxy met the sea of darkness, began scrambling to relay a new metric. Something huge had just /appeared/ where nothing was prior. It took a while, but the numbers sent back to those that were listening were staggering, and very, very improbable. ----- Any drones or ships sent to investigate would find something... Surprising. A ship, if one could call it that. The numbers would come back in at 23 kilometers long , an absolutely massive beast of a starship. It was shaped bulbously and thick, its hull smoothed over. Strangely enough, it didn't send out any signals. There were no hails, no outgoing radio signals, not even a connection to local networks. There were no windows, not even ports for weapons. Scans wouldn't penetrate the monstrocity's armor, attempts to connect to anything within would find nothing- Even an examination of the massive engines around the ship would find them cold. Upon exiting the 'rift' it had created, it quickly slowed down, drifting at a measily 1km a second. There was nothing around. A derelict? In any case, it was a massive thing, even having a gravitic effect on the storms below on the storms of the gas giant it was next to. ((Ignore the lights. Ignore the second smaller ship. Ree. Not exactly what I had in mind for this ship, but finding reference picture for what I wanted is hard since it doesnt exist as a concept. Eegh. Going to be doing this in the MilkyWay Discord as well))
*His big break. Morgan heads to the ship immediately with the upmost haste. He needs to be the first one there for his big break. /profile/111-adler/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="111" href="/profile/111-adler/">@Adler.*
----- Any arriving ships would find the massive thing dormant, lazily following the orbit of the gas giant it was next to. No matter how close anyone got, there was no response. It had clearly just exited hyperspace, or some variant thereof, if the readings were correct. Either it was piloted, or someone sent it here. In any case, it laid quiet, even its engines not showing any signs of life. From any scan, it would seem the majority of the engines on the back of the thing ran on a similar method to the rest of the galaxy's starships, but a number of them did not, showing a radioactive signature that did not match any type of energy-producing method known by Civ-Space or beyond. It was an anomaly... In addition to there not being any response from the thing, there didn't seem to be any point of entry that was obvious. The only things resembling an entrance would be a pair of massive hangar doors on either side of the ship, all four of them 3km long each. What the hell was this thing? -----
A cloaked spacecraft fighter was watching, slowly approaching the object to get other readings on it, particularly what it was made from. The ship also was invisible to scans and photonic waves, leaving no way of detection in the vacuum of space.
