Can an AI die?

I have a character, S.A.M., whose an AI. I was wondering if there is an "expiration date" for an AI similar to rampantcy in Halo.

 

I think it's 800 years max, though degration will start much earlier.

I don't think we have it set but I do find 800 to be waaaay too long for an AI, ignoring the Glitch of course.

 

wasn't the cap like 300 anyway for a character, and to be older they'd have to like have staff permission
