    A Magmatic Rifle.
    Abilities:
Anti-Armor: Magmatic weapons fire a superheated projectile which is highly effective against most metals, roughly on-par with plasma weaponry of equivalent size.

Adhesive: The projectiles fired by magmatic weapons stick to the point they impact, and continue to damage the surface they are adhered to for a period of time. Once applied, they are still hazardous to touch.

    Conditional Abilities:
Incendiary: The projectiles from magmatic weaponry ignite cloth and wood near-instantaneously.

Solidification: Once the projectiles cool, the substance it leaves behind is an almost dry-wall like material. This typically is only slightly tedious to remove, but if the surface it impacted was made of metal, it becomes significantly more difficult as they have mixed together- this often requires industrial tools to properly remove from a surface.

    Limitations:
Tracers: The projectile fired from magmatic weapons leaves behind a visible, glowing trail for several seconds as small amounts of it ‘bleed off’ while in-flight. Because of this, a user cannot effectively conceal their position while using these weapons.

Shield: Hardlight barriers take minimal damage from magmatic weapons, as the projectile fails to stick to their surface, and cannot melt the shield.

Liquid-Cooling: The projectiles fired by magmatic weapons cool near-instantly when submerged in liquid such as water.

Charge-up: Firing magmatic weaponry when still carryable by infantry takes one turn (roughly four to six seconds) of charging beforehand, as it has to superheat the projectile before it can be fired.

Heat-Resistant: Materials that are resistant to plasma are equally as effective against magmatic weaponry.

    Conditional Limitations:
Oxygen-Cooling: When in an environment with breathable levels of oxygen, the projectiles fired by magmatic weaponry cool within three turns (twelve to eighteen seconds).

Electro-magnetic Vulnerability: Magmatic weaponry is deactivated for three turns when affected by an EMP.

    How does it work:
Magmatic weaponry functions in two parts, the weapon itself and the projectile. The weapon is little more than a specialized gauss firearm, designed to superheat the projectile in a chamber above the magazine before firing.

The projectile however, is a paintball shaped projectile made up of a chemical compound which is laced with ferromagnetic material that allows it to be fired. The compound itself is designed to easily be superheated to extreme temperatures, cool rapidly when exposed to oxygen, and adhere to surfaces by rapidly bonding with the impact point.

    Flavor text:
Designed as a weapon against heavily armored targets during the first galactic war that were only vulnerable for short periods of time, magmatic weaponry has become more of a mainstay in many arsenals due to its effectiveness against power armor compared to other heat-based weaponry. While being more expensive than plasma weaponry on average, it still has a lower overall cost than laser weaponry.
