Limitations: - Comprehensible: The language can be deciphered and translated by others as if it were another mundane language. To remove a pre-existing Helminglot requires extensive surgery. - Biologically Adapted: Helminglots can not fulfill their purpose in species that do not have vocal cords. How does it work: When swallowed whole, a Helminglot begins a seventy-two hour process in which it attaches itself to its host. During this process, it effectively becomes an additional speech organ within the host body. . . At the end of this process, the worm sends its host the necessary information to understand the new language they can now speak. Pending. This rocks and I love it. Minor questions only. When it forms the 'new speech organ', does the voice of the user sound different? Does the sound emit from the throat at all, or does it come from another part of the body? As far as 'teaching' the user, is it also spreading to the brain? Are there complications with cyberware and other implants, especially in the brain?
Whether or not the user sounds different is probably down to the breed of Helminglot, but the sound does emit from the throat. It teaches through spreading to the brain, yes! It probably doesn't have any complications with cyberware unless said cyberware significantly alters the vocal cords or brain.
