Name: Gravskates Description: Gravskates are electronic footwear devices that act as advanced forms of rollerskates, using antigrav technology to propel the user just above the ground but not touching it. Using advanced movements, the user can skate and even perform complex maneuvers and jumps. They can take a wide variety of appearances. Abilities: Provides fluid and powered movement across surfaces, valuable for speed. Unlike rollerskates, can work on most types of terrain. Generally good battery life, lasting up to 6 hours. Limitations: Gravskates are significantly more difficult to use than conventional rollerskates, requiring practice to maneuver and balance with them, and even more practice to do more complex maneuvers, tricks, or use in combat. Gravskates have superb maneuverability at the expense of having less power, making them unable to power up large slopes without momentum beforehand. Conditional Limitations: EMP: An EMP will temporary disable the gravskates for 3 turns, turning them into heavier boots. How does it work: Gravskates utilize small gravitic plates on the bottom of the device that project a gravity field depending on how close the skate is to the ground, causing the user to glide just above the ground. Some gravskates also give the user antigrav-assisted jumps. Can be paired with other movement technology such as gravsuits or dash tech, if the user is skilled enough. Flavor text: A lithe figure was gracefully skating up the leg of a massive creature, covered in plating of bone as it laid wreck to the landscape below. They skated across the creature's body as if gravity were of no concern to them, laying explosives in various kinks in its armor until they finally rode to the ground.
