    Name: Golden Experience

Description: "Golden Experience" is, as name suggests, a yellow, non-translucent liquid that is highly reflective to light, that is composed of various narcotics that have been mixed, filtered, and distilled together. Some of the main components of Golden Experiences include LSD, benzodiazepines, and various forms of kappa-agonists. Those components are responsible for altering the world view of the user, and making them seem like the time and place disappear as perceptual experiences. Their role is also to introduce the body into a weakened, exhausted state, which allows to experience the effects to the full extent. The most common way of selling it, though, is in form of thin, small pieces of pieces of edible paper that are throughoutly soaked with the liquid. While it's most oftenly taken in orally, by putting the slips on the tongue and letting them dissolve on it's own, it can also be swallowed, inhaled or injected directly into the bloodstream. It's effect oftenly kicks in after one to two minutes after digesting, after which the trip begins.

    Abilities:
    • When the drug finally "kicks in", the time frame from two minutes before intaking it, to the exact moment it started working will start looping for the person that has just used it. This is not an actual time loop, but rather a repeated memory, that is constantly being re-lived inside the mind. During that time, the user will experience vivid hallucinations, both auditory and visual- each time the memory "loops", it becomes more and more degraded, with more and more details and parts of it being changed by the effects of the drug. The amount of loops and intensity of the hallucinations depends on how much of the Golden Experience has been taken in. It can vary from a couple repeats with minor changes and differences, to hundreds of repeats each one becoming a fever dream on it's own.
    • LOOP 0, (The base of all other loops, the actual memory): Robert puts a slip of Golden Experience inside his mouth. He then exits his car, goes to the nearby convenience store, and buys himself a bag of chips. The drug then suddenly kicks in. The actual Robert passes out, but the effect of Golden Experience still goes off.
    • LOOP 1: Robert puts a slip of Golden Experience inside his mouth. He then exits the car, goes to the narby convience store, and buy himself a bag of fried rats, complete with the ash seasoning. The drug then suddenly kicks in, the loop resets.
    • LOOP 2: Robert is now a single mother of two. She puts a slip of Golden Experience inside her mouth, and exits the car, leaving her two screaming kids behind. She then heads to the nearby convenience store, and buys herself a bag of fried rats, complete with the ash seasoning. The drug then suddenly kicks in, the loop resets.
    • LOOP 3: Robert puts a slip of Golden Experience inside her mouth, and exits her car, leaving her two screaming dirt bags behind. She then heads to the nearby convienience store, and buys herself a bag of fried rats, complete with the ash seasoning. The drug then suddenly kicks in, the loop resets.
    • LOOP 4: Robert puts her child inside her mouth, and exits the car, leaving her two screaming dirt bags behind. She then heads to the nearby convienience store, and buys herself a bag of fried rats, complete with ash seasoning. The drug then suddenly kicks in, the loop resets.
    • LOOP 5: Robert puts her child inside her mouth, and exits the car, leaving her two screaming dirt bags behind. She then flies to the closest Erchius mining facility, and buys herself a bag of fried rats, complete with ash seasoning. The drug then suddenly kicks in, the loop resets.
    • LOOP 18: Roberts swallows their entire family on the spot, not even letting them beg for mercy. They then exit this plane of reality and enter the closest hyperlane that would lead them to the nearby rat shop, where they materialize inside a bag of fried rats. Robert buys the bag of fried Roberts, complete with ash seasoning. The horse of eight eyes then kicks them between the teeth, the loop resets.
    • LOOP 78: Robert never existed. Where he once was, now stands a gaunt man with a monocle, one that rides his caravan of animated bees through the weeping alleys of old England, a scene which the dreaming Robert has crafted. He sees his friends in the distance, but he does not care to recognize them. They beg for him to speak up, but he ignores their pleas. They cease to exist, forever cursing his nonexistant name. The man ceases to be real, each and every of his molecule stopping to exist and materializing in the realm of the unseen. A bag of fried lightbulbs peeks at him with keen interest, and he decides to buy the entire stock of the shops bread collection. The bread consumes the body of the man, but he does not scream. Soon, he is fully digested by the denizens of the shop, and turned into nothing but a memory. The loops resets.
    • AFTERMATH: Robert wakes up in a hospital bed. He learned that he has passed out in the middle of the store, and has been comatose for over three hours. He promises himself to never take any drugs ever again.

This used to be a tennis ball in the initial memory.

    Conditional Abilities (Optional):
    • You can combine it with other drugs for more vivid trips and experiences, since it doesn't react with most of the other, more widely-available stuff.
    • You can get a load of inspirations how to write books, screenplays, direct movies, or ideas for paintings and drawings if you are an artist.
    Limitations:
    • The drug causes your senses to "shut down", causing them to become numb to whatever is happening around. You can't hear, see, smell, or feel anything else that is going on.
    • The body relaxes after taking the drug, making it go limp, which combined with the aforementioned limitation leaves you at the mercy of others around you. Better not take it in a place where you can easily get killed.
    • It's very easy to get a bad trip- it's like living through the same nightmare over and over again, except you can't wake up even if you wanted to.
    • Overdosing on the drug may lead to a visit in a hospital; it can also lead to general uneasiness, paranoia, and severe anxiety for the next couple of days if it's been a bad trip. Extreme cases of overdosing can lead to the subject being unable to wake up on their own until proper medical aid is admnistered- it's often followed up by them having to deal with something refered to as "reality dissociaton syndrome", in which the user is unable to tell if they're awake, or if they're still under the effect of the drug, having problems to tell what is real or not.
    • The "safe" amount of Golden Experience is around 200 to 300 mcg- although if you consistently make use of it, your tolerance will go up, constantly needing larger amounts.
    • Addictive. Withdrawal symptoms include high blood pressure, increased heart rate, sudden heat waves, cold sweats, shivers, dizziness, insomnia, loss of appetite, dry mouth, numbness in limbs, concentration problems, waves of confusion, overall exhaustion, tremors, short-term memory loss, and long-term memory loss. The most severe cases of withdrawal, that happen to the biggest addicts, can lead to mild cases of depresion, catatonia, or even severe
    Conditional Limitations (Optional):
    • Illegal in most places, which makes it hard to acquire if one looks to acquire it in a "civilized" society, like bigger nations and states.
How does it work: The drugs affects the sensory and nervous regions of the brain of the person that has ingested it. The moment it takes effect, the body of the user goes still and limp; a similar state to loss of conciousness. While their body remains immobile, the brain shuts itself off for all the external stimuli, essentially ignoring whatever is going on around them. The most basic functions like breathing and blood flow remain unaffected; regardless of how the user ended up in their comatose-like state, the true effect of the drug takes place. Working off the short-term memory, most specifically the moments before taking the drug, and the time it took for it to work, the substance forces the brain to repeat the memories of what has just happened, bringing it into a state similar to the REM cycle of sleep; the memory is essentially a "rollercoaster ride", where despite the user, who now is aware of the fact that they are nothing more than a spectator to their drug trip, is not able to take any actions for themselves, and simply wait for the effects to subside. The LSD and various other hallucinogenics play their part in constantly manipulating the memory into changing into different forms, constantly changing on the eyes of the viewer (the user). Despite the events taking absurd, oftenly nonsensical turn, all the characters involved (either those who were there at the beginning or were added during the looping) don't seem to question it. They act exactly as they did in the initial memory, and all events transpire as they did, with no regard for the wacky changes. The most common dosage of Golden Experience allows for twenty loops on average, althought that depends from person to person. The same amount also leaves them limp for around one and a half hour, after which they wake up and slowly come to their senses.

Flavor text: "Golden Experience" was first developed to slow down the perception and the flow of time on the people it was used to; a Hylotese, "humane" way of making prisoners and other criminals live out year-long trials without needing them to waste major parts of their life sitting in cells, causing them to miss out on life. Unfortunately, the final product was much, much different than the original concept, resulting in the most basic type of what it is now. It was later picked up by military which caused it to be further developed into a chemical weapon to be used in battles to de-moralize and neutralize enemy troops without necessarily killing them out-right. The concepts were quickly abandoned as it turned out that the production costs and risks of hitting their own soldiers were too high, causing further developments to stop. Due to a series of unfortunate events and shady business done on the side, the drug (and the recipes how to create more) would find their way to the black market, where it would prove itself to be a rather popular product amongst the junkies, thrill-seeking kids, and everyday people alike.

This all seems fine to me, but with a few issues:
Based on the effects this actually sounds like it would be super dangerous to take with other drugs, and while not due to any specific reaction between the two, due to cumulative effects of some other drugs plus this one.

My second issue is just that there's not too much here besides "normal symptoms but worse" for overdose symptoms. What are the other symptoms, if any? Could it cause brain damage? Put you in a coma? Something else? How many of the strips constitutes an overdose and with what effects at best and at worst? Is one strip the "safe" limit?

After doing some reading, too, Haloperidol is frequently used as an antipsychotic medication to treat schizophrenia and psychosis, including those induced by LSD and other drugs that can cause hallucinations. I think I know what you were going for in adding that detail; relaxing the body into a dream-like state or something of the sort, but in reality it doesn't seem like it would have much place in this. I'd never ask anybody to make something 100% medically accurate, but it's best to just describe the chemicals and their effects in more broad terms if it's something this complicated than to narrow it down to specific ones. I'd edit that if I were you.

    1. Safe, in a way that it won't come into reaction with other narcotics; you won't become paralyzed, nor will you suffer internal hemorrhaging if you mix it with someone else. Physically, you'll be find, while mentally.. Not so much. Depending what it was that you mixed with it.

    2. Oh, huh. Yeah. I should write something about it. I'll probably add a paragraph or two to the drug-specific symptoms of withdrawal.

    3. Give me a while to re-word it then, and you got it.

    A few more questions.
Are there any symptoms at all in the first two minutes before the body goes limp? Not necessarily the drug's actual effects, but just any unusual feelings that would clue someone in that it's beginning to work.

Do you know that feeling when you wake up after a cold, cold night, and you drink a cup of hot coffee/tea and you feel it heating you up from the inside?

It's basically that; depending on what form it was taken it, it could either be your digestive tract, your lungs, or the area around the spot that you injected it in.

It doesn't actually heat you up, it just makes you feel like it.

So no pain but an intense warmth. Alright. That's good enough.

There's just one more discrepancy, and it's this:
"It's effect oftenly kicks in after one to two minutes after digesting, after which the trip begins."
"When the drug finally "kicks in", the time frame from two minutes before intaking it."

Two minutes after digestion and two minutes after taking are two different things. What I would do if I were you, personally, is make the times different depending on how the drug is taken as it would realistically be, and I have some suggestions:
Injection would be about one minute before the drug takes effect.
Inhalation would be about two minutes.
Actually eating it would probably be about ten to fifteen minutes realistically, just because it would need some time to actually begin digesting and whatever else. Most things that have any effect through ingestion take about that long based on some reading.

If that's fine I'll go ahead and pass it.
