Name: Glyde Gear, Wallrun Tech, Wall Glide Description: Glyde gear takes the form of gloves and boots worn by the user. When in use, they allow the user to ‘stick’ to a wall and run along it through use of gravity manipulation. Abilities: - Wall Glide: When used by individuals weighing 250 lbs or fewer, Glyde Gear allows twelve seconds (2 crp turns) of wallrunning along relatively flat surfaces. During this time, the user follows the surface perfectly, bending around any curves in it. Conditional Abilities: - Wall Slide: By affixing one hand and one foot to a wall, the user may slowly descend a flat surface. This can be performed by users up to 300 lbs. Limitations: - Recharge: After a wall run is performed, the equipment takes thirty seconds (5 CRP turns) to recharge before another can be performed. - Move baby, Move!: Users can not remain stationary to 'cling' to the wall, they must glide along it. Conditional Limitations: - EMP Susceptible: When affected by an EMP, Glyde Gear can not be operated for thirty seconds (5 CRP turns), after which point it returns to full functionality. How does it work: Glyde Gear is made up of two parts, the gloves and the boots. The gloves are used to register a surface to align to, while the boots utilize built-in gravity generators to temporarily adhere the user to the surface in question. Flavor text: Prior to popularization by Miniknog-approved entertainment company and military contractor ‘Top Banana,’ equipment like Glyde Gear was used by parkour hobbyists across the galaxy. Glyde Gear is currently banned within Apex territory for promoting ‘aberrant thought.’ Referenced Technologies: None Attainability: Open Tags: [Civilian] Category: Wearable
Pending. Just a minor question. The app says it allows users to 'stick' to the wall - does it REQUIRE you to stay moving, or can you stand still? I think it's cooler if you have it as the first one, but ultimately either are fine. Just needs a bit of clarity. Other than that, I see now issues - perfectly in-line with other existing pieces of tech within the setting.
You must move forward, you can probably adjust momentum to go slower but if you're looking to wall cling this isn't the app for that.
